Have you read the books? I need to get Amazon Prime. Only season season 1. Love the books. Love Bosch
Yes, read all the books on your (I think) recommendation, after watching the first series. And all the Mickey Haller's, and all the Terry McCaleb's. Great reads, every one.
'Kin hell, there's a few committed ones there. Leg spats and gear. Hmm, I'm not sure our Rambler group would go near them. They look as if the word 'pub' doesn't figure high up the list of their conversations. Dubious.
I only do walks (or strolls as I call them) if they can be done in trainers and include a tea room or pub (preferably both). I look at the wonderful views of the Yorkshire Moors and the Lake District on TV and wish I could be there.....then I sit down till my common sense kicks in. Strangely enough, my last real walk was around Abergavenny in the '60s...the rain was so hard it was like walking through Niagara Falls.
My September holiday is cancelled because my friend has to have an op. Inconsiderate or what? Some people are just self, self, self!!
Never heard of Bosch before, so just ordered Book 1 on kindle - 99p, bargain. Not sure when I will get to read it, because I'm only half way through part one of a two book story (The Messiah Conspiracy - Ian C P Irvine), and because of my early shifts I don't tend to read for as long as I would like, before my eyes and brain switch off. Kindle books are my impulse purchases, and if I find an author I like, I get everything he/she writes. I see Bosch is up to book 22, so this may cost me quite a bit, in the long run.
Can't wait to get the last couple of hours today and tomorrow at work out of the way. 2 whole weeks off after tomorrow... bliss.
Was going to post news of this last night, but it hadn't quite been 24 hours by then. I refer to the fact that the UK went a whole day without producing a single watt of power through coal. Even renewable power sources have been out contributing coal on several occasions in the last year or so. It's a small step, but pats on the back to UK Power: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39675418
We do a great version of Common People by Pulp in the Southampton Ukulele Jam gigs. But I guess you're not talking about that .....
I went in 2015 and it was good fun. It's a nice small day festival. I've not been bothered by any of the acts playing but live music is still fun with friends, sunshine and alcohol. I didn't bother last year because the weather wasn't so good. Not sure if I'll go this year yet or not.
Cheers. Yeah I'm not overly keen on the line up but it's a festival on the doorstop on a weekend I have off so am tempted by it.
Thanks for the offer, but I haven't read a "paper" book in years. I am a Kindle lover, and love having all my books in one easy device. My son is the opposite. Only reads proper books, despite not liking the feel of paper. Weird kid.
Just downloaded 1-3 on my Kindle. Got a nice little 2 week Holiday coming up so after the latest David Baldacci these will go nicely.
All this talk of books brings me to a couple of questions. Firstly, how many Kindle readers do we have here - I love mine - I used to take 3-4 books on holiday and now all my books are on one device. I also love audiobooks so I end up listening/reading at the same time as they sync perfectly. I'll be reading at home, go to walk the dogs and listen where I left off, only to read again late. Absolutely brilliant. Secondly, on a two week holiday, how many books do you read? I average 4, though now sometimes 5 or 6 as I can listen rather than read, so whilst chilling by the pool I can listen and not get any frown marks from reading
