Quite likely but getting £10k for being upset having to look at it is a bit steep. A sorry and a Happy Meal would have done the trick. Works for me anyhow.

An activist has branded Wagamama ‘b*****ds’ over spikes used to stop homeless people sleeping outside one of their busiest restaurants. A mystery graffiti artist painted the word on a floor-to-ceiling window at the chain’s restaurant in Clink Street, Southwark, central London. The wavy concrete structures beneath, known as ‘hostile architecture’, are a controversial way to force homeless people to move on. Witnesses spotted the graffiti on Monday as they passed the branch, which is close to the Tate Modern and Borough Market. A Southwark Council spokesperson says the deterrent sits on private property and is not something they would ever install. Big Issue Foundation Chief Executive Stephen Robertson said: ‘Hostile Architecture is a well and long-established design approach intended and purposed towards moving a ‘problem’ from public view.
‘It re-enforces social divisions, the ‘haves and the have nots’ as it were, and it endorses aggressive responses to the humanitarian crisis that is ‘homelessness’ today.

Now I'm not sure about you lot but when I am about to tuck in to my chicken Katsu curry or Yaki Udon the last thing I want is to be looking out the window to see a homeless person camped outside, it could put one of ones duck gyoza . Typical inflammatory and polarising Metro article in which we (the haves) are being guilt shamed for eating out by the homeless (the have nots). I don't eat at Wagamama that often and I certainly don't do it to rub it in to those less fortunate.

Are the owners of Wagamama meant to rip up the wavy paving and install beds instead? I don' think people thing these things through.

Can see plenty of people tripping over going in and out that shop and claiming compo for their twisted ankles and grazed knees.

 

Maybe if they stopped expending energy on finding someone else's comfortable doorway to sleep in they could use that energy to find gainful employment and,subsequently, housing.

Vagrancy Laws exist guise, we live in a world too snowflakey to enforce them.
