Maybe it's just me but would all this money spent on this historical slavery not be better spent on helping slaves escape in the here and now? Every country on Earth has benefited from Slavery.

Perhaps the University of the West Indies can start to educate some of its citizens and teach them not to come to England to become Yardies and drug mules.

A fire service has taken the decision to axe popular TV character Fireman Sam as their mascot. Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service said that they had received negative feedback because the mascot was not inclusive enough. Chief fire officer Lez Britzman said: ‘Firefighters nationally and residents locally have raised some concerns that “Fireman Sam” doesn’t reflect the fire service today, in terms of both the job itself and our workforce.

In March this year Fireman Sam was in the firing line along with Peppa Pig for encouraging gender stereotypes. London Fire Brigade hit out at Peppa pig for not using the term ‘firefighter’ in an episode called The Fire Engine. The service tweeted: ‘Come on @peppapig, we’ve not been firemen for 30 years. You have a huge influence on kids & using out of date stereotypical gender specific wording prevents young girls from becoming firefighters.’

We are now meant to believe that persons identifying as female (not allowed to assume they are actual females of course) don't want to be fire fighters because Fireman Sam and Peppa Pig are sexist?

Once again folks out there are kacking their knickers and reacting to a situation that is entirely in their own minds. What proof have the Fire Brigade, sorry Service, got to back up their assumption that Peppa Pig has stopped anyone wanting to become a fire fighter?

Fireman Sam is all about equality. There are female fire fighters, ethnic minorities live in the town, the pilot is an immigrant etc. If anything it is racist towards gingers because that f.ucking twat Norman is always the one starting fires.

 

Aye, but it's ok for it to be set in Wales, excluding any Scots, English or Irish kids from wanting to be firepersons?

A drug dealer, jailed for a minimum of 31 years for murdering a businessmen with a fatal dose of GHB, could apply to be transferred to a women's prison after his lawyer revealed that he was seeking gender reassignment. Gerald Matovu, 26, met Eric Michels, 54, via the gay dating app Grindr in August last year.
Matovu, who the court heard had previously supplied the gay serial killer, Stephen Port, with drugs, was jailed for life with a minimum of 31 years for the "wicked and callous" murder. But during mitigation at the Old Bailey, his lawyer, Louise Sweet QC, said Matovu had identified as female from the age of eight and now intended to seek gender reassignment while in prison.
