Morning all. Dry but grey in this little bit of the country, while the man from the meteo tells me that the sun is blazing down. I usually watch an interesting program on France 3 at lunch time where they go around the country showing different ways of life and different regional foods. My digital box that allows me to watch both French and UK TV died on Monday, so it has been sent back to the maker as it was only just over a year since I bought it. As with many of these electrical items today when I receive the new one it will be an upgraded HD version, but while I wait I am stuck with my very old box that only allows me to watch UK output and some very strange things from around the world. Hope you have had a good day BB and the little dears were pleased to have you around again. I suspect you could have some interesting lessons with magnets now.
I am to start work on a new picture for HNIII. I think the theme will be succesful players from the youth team. John Barnes, Britt Assombalonga, Keith Mercer and others.
Hi all, Super busy recently, won't have time for Forst match thread. In fact if anyone wants to take them over from now on I'd be grateful. Anytakers?? Cheers.....
Afternoon all from a sunny Jersey. We had an extremely heavy shower at about 11. Unfortunately, I was in town at the time. Have got the day off work today and I am meeting up with jerzeypie after he has finished school so I can buy him his first legal drink on his 18th birthday. I noticed on Facebook that his Granddad who is over from France is talking about a pub crawl - I hope not, as jerzeypie has school tomorrow and also twisting my idea of the drink, even with a jokey comment, into that is not something I'm too happy with. If he wants to get drunk at his party on Saturday night, that's a different matter entirely.
You may need to rethink that - JB wasn't a youth team product. He signed from a non-League club, played for the reserves for the first 2/3 weeks of the season, then moved up permanently to the first team.
Now 3-0 to Man City.... I don't know what they do to earn their luck - survived a stonewall penalty appeal against us & now get awarded a bloody soft one themselves....
Morning all - having a day off to recover from my first day back at work yesterday..... Was just searching the web for the result of Scotland's ICC World Cup qualifier - which they surprisingly won - and stumbled upon the fact that Australia beat England again yesterday. How on earth could I have missed that one?
Morning all from a wet and cold West West London...back to madness is tough.. Thanks for the frothy AK
Looks like a day of sunshine and showers here. Took Mme into town for her MOT at the hospital earlier. Glad to say that she is ok and doesn't need to have her cills welded up. Oh, it is Thursday, so it must be match day. Is anyone doing a match thread as I have things I should be doing now?
The last time we played a non-Christmas, regular season game on a Thursday. Drew 1-1 (Noel-Williams) at Preston 31/1/02 Chamberlain; Blondeau, Galli, Vega, Doyley (Brown); Hand, Nielsen (Cook), Noble (Gayle), Okon, Pennant; Noel-Williams.
