They’re ****ing dangerous. I’ve done my back in this morning loading mime. Spent all day laid on an ice pack on the floor.
It’s the second time the bastard has done me over. A few years ago I was off work for a few weeks. I’ve retired now, and only missing golf, etc so fully expect a quicker recovery this time.

I'm currently, through expediency, holed up in a first floor gaff in Saltburn-by-the-Sea and it's got one of those new fangled dish washer type things in it.

Ooh good, I thought, I'll make use of that.

Just cooked a full meal (fresh pasta with home made pesto, roasted baby plum tomatoes, garlic and fresh mozzarella; garlic, cheese and herb bread; washed down with 2 cans of a single hop IPA and a moderately tolerable Italian red, if you're interested).

Due to my long established habit of washing up as I go along, I find that on completion of said meal the only items to go in the dish washer was 2 forks, 2 bowls and a couple of side plates.

    What's the point?

I can wash those in about 20 seconds.

So you drank the red out of the bottle neck?

Good God no. I'm not Welsh.

Ok. Add a slender stemmed wine glass to my washing list. It'll only add another 5 seconds.

What did you cut your bread with Ernie? Or did you just tear it?

I cut it with a knife, which though force of habit, I then immediately washed up.

Yes, it’s a problem. The head butler wants a large rise.
