sadly the clubs cellar has slightly flooded, but your executive committee with the help of the staff have prevented any damage to club stocks. the waters have now subsided, and betty swallocks and ethell cuttlebunt have been busy mopping, sweeping and snowceming the walls.

the club remains open as usual for food, snacks drinks and relaxation.

sorry missed it.--good god the wobblers won yesterday, looks as though the gas may have to wait until july to be relegated with their backlog of games to be played.

your executive committee regret to report a little fracas at the club on saturday night. thankfully 2 non members were forcefully ejected by ethell cuttlebunt and a small amout of damaged furniture were soon repaired by jack and betty swallocks.

your committee are pleased that jack and betty swallocks have signed a five year extension to their contracts , and both will retire at 70.

following the fracas, your committee have hired 2 extra bar/muscle staff. beefy mullet and chuck kellet start tonight.

i notice the star carried an article about town's new shirt designs. aj has replied online under the pseudonym arthur rowley, about that ruddy awful badge. it may get published online tomorrow. i have also written about extending the buildings onto the square. finally i may have marked cameron's card in another comment.

 

i am sat here alone bumnumbing cold, waiting for the bar to open. i have been thinking about the good old days when shrewsbury not606 had masses of posters and now we are down to a few. town are in the fertiliser and is times like this we need masses of posters, so please return to the fold, whatshrew, jenny chemicalshrew, manfeelings and all.

you lucky chap, i am down to my last 2 cans of alleged draught guinness. to quote mr kipling it was exceedingly frothy and my can runneth over!

 

your executive committee regret to announce the cancellation of the pole dancing on saturday night. joyce, edna and cissy wonga will be snow bound in cleethorpes this weekend.

a replacement games evening will be organised. darts, dominoes, shove halpenny, bar skittles,crib, whist and guess the weight of blob fish will be amongst the sports. a cluedo and monopoly corner can be arranged.

the highlight of the evening will be the final of the shropshire subuteo cup. bayston hill v hanwood.

your executive committee can announce a mini beer festival on sat/sun. real ales to include- hobsons town crier, salopian, woods parish, brains sa, and the club regulars.

any snowbound oldham supporters are welcome, bring a spade!

Joules Brewery is claimed by the Sloppy Star to be the biggest brewer in Salop, I would have thought that there were bigger.

Good news on their expansion plans, just wish they'd do a few more beers with some on a changing basis
