Good Morning. It's Friday 16th April, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Bielsa denies he is close to signing new deal Marcelo Bielsa has denied that he is close to signing a new deal at the club, let alone a two year stay. Rumours have been rife since Argentinian daily newspaper La Nacion claimed that the 65yo had agreed to put pen to paper and commit for a further twenty four months. Unfortunately, however much we want these claims to be true, they were soon dashed by Leeds journalist Phil Hay. The Athletic writer, took to his twitter account to extinguish any hopes that Bielsa was ready to pledge his future to West Yorkshire's finest. Relaying what Bielsa had said in his press conference, Hay wrote:- “That information is not real. I ignore the origin. If there was any information to give, then I would give it,” please log in to view this image Have next seasons kits been leaked online Pictures of Leeds kit for next season have apparently been leaked on social media over recent days. Let's take a look at the mock-ups of what is rumoured to be next seasons home shirt and the 2021/22 third kit. The home shirt is white with yellow trim, as opposed to this season's blue Adidas stripes adorning the shoulders. Leeds' third shirt for next term is predominantly mauve with dark blue / navy for logos and applications. Although we don't have a mock up picture of the away kit, the rumours suggest it will be mainly blue with'electric' yellow in order to stand out.
Good morning i was wondering if we ever wore the third kit at home what music would the team enter the field of play. I'm going for Y. M. C. A. By the village people. Either that or Princes purple rain... It's vile by the way.
Morning all The Phil Hay quote actually went on to say that Bielsa seemed as happy as he has ever been at Leeds and think a new deal is almost now a formality. Bielsa can now see that competing in the Premier League he is up against some of the best teams in Europe and in the toughest league. You only need look at the Champions League with 2 teams in the semi finals and same in the Europa league. 3 of those clubs are going for top 4 places in the league and Leeds are level on points with the other. Bielsa loves competition against top coaches so why would he want to leave. He enjoyed beating maybe the best coach in the world last weekend and on Monday he goes up against a coach who won the league the Champions League and Club World crown last season. Hopefully he is also smiling because Victor Orta has told him he has the new players he asked for
The real headlines today are that our U23s can win the league and promotion tonight away at Villa. What an achievement in the first season since getting Cat1 standard and moving up to Premier League 2 Division 2. We only need 1 point from our last 3 games and even then Stoke would need to win their last 4 games and then overcome a plus 20 goal difference. The kids have smashed it and deserve everything that happens to them. Greedy Villa will probably make sure that we cannot televise it as they are charging £2 for Villa TV members https://www.leedsunited.com/news/ac...here-will-be-that-little-bit-of-buzz-about-it
Horrible colour. FFS I used to slag the scum for releasing too many shirts. I know it's aimed at the younger market, but come on. Why not play in rainbow colours with a bob marley sliff smoking pic on it.
1st kit...white yellow/blue trim. 2nd...yellow white/blue trim. 3rd...blue white/yellow trim. Sorted....no need for owt else
Story around TA is that Forshaw makes his first competitive game in over 18 months, tonight for the 23s. He played an hour last Saturday against York City in a freindly, so will probably get 45mins tonight. Be interesting to see if Poveda, Berardi play too.
Best to wait for olof’s views on the wardrobe matching potential - let’s leave it to the experts, duke.
