Beg to differ, Hazel Irvine has commentated on snooker for donkeys years - and she's bloody good at anything she does.

 

Oddly enough I'm listening/watching 'Status Quo Frantic Four - Live at Shepperton on You Tube'. Had no idea that this existed. Have to admit that the vocals aren't quite what they used to be.

Oh, & btw, I was #5 in the overnight queue for the Who's Live at Leeds 30th Anniversary show. #1 son was #4. I tell you - pavements are a lot fcukin' harder these days!

Darren Arnott is not going to be the manager of Strømsgodset. On the official site for the club it says: Darren Arnott (34) is the latest addition to Henrik Pedersen's coaching team.

 

Lots of rumour coming out about a bust up and why he has gone to Norway? I believe the club hes joined already has an ex Leeds fitness coach? Adam Pope is now trying to link Arnott leaving with Gelhardts abscence, because young Joffy is not injured?

stromsgodset saying Arnott responsible for U23s getting into first team, which maybe overstates the reality somewhat. Wouldnt Carlos as U23 coach been responsible for that and Mark Jackson this season? Something not right about this at all?

 

Must be something like that, thought it was a strange choice going from Leeds to be an assistant coach at Strømsgodset. Yes, that is true. Aaron Horne is at the club already. It make you want to ask some questions about whats going on behind the scenes?

didn't think she had 'actually' commentated on a match that was in progress, i thought she was the presenter of the program. and talking to ex pro's etc during and after the match...but hey if i missed an actual commentary i apologize.....has she made a 147

 

Hazel Irvine is a bit of a freak in broadcasting and if you compare her to Sue Barker who is still an exceptional broadcaster on tennis, because she comes from a tennis background and super qualified to do Wimbeldon every year. She did a great job on QoS and had massive shoes to fill and was the first woman to do it. She has a background in sport, so gets it. Old Hazel bless her, doesnt play snooker or golf but does a fantastic job fronting the bits of sport the BBC still has. She is personable and professional. Other females like Gabby and Claire yet again come from a sporting background. Hazel is a freak, almost a female Frank Bough

but there are too many women commenting on sports on our tellies who are useless and only there to tick boxes
