I've nothing against James. There's not much between Harrison and James currently. I'd just prefer to strengthen the weaker areas in the team. If we are honest, with the form of Klich, Roberts, Dallas and Rodrigo at the moment it's fairly urgent that we get probably a couple of midfielders in.
Cheers boys. All being well ill be out of theatre by the time ell puts the breakfast debate up. Get ready for some drug induced opinions
Don't do it! Roberts back went under the knife with the same bloke - and now he's spineless! I'll get me coat. Best of luck, Hemase. Hope it turns out well. How long before you can restart your cage fighting career?
How do you think we've performed in the 4 home matches thus far WJ ? Ps; If you're just going to rant about Roberts & Dan James then don't bother answering
Don't know till the surgeon does his thing. Could be three months or six months depending on what he finds once he has me open.
Not nice having to go under the knife, hope everything goes well I'm sure it will... just check surgeon isn't called Mr novichock
Good luck. I hope he's better than the surgeon who did my left shoulder 10 years ago. Had to get another surgeon to do it again 2 years later.
I’m sure he is very skilled in what he needs to do but you can always come on here, we all know more about football than Bielsa so I’m sure one of us can sort your back out over and above your dodgy trained surgeon
Roberts deserves a rant. The James comments are a wind-up, just like Wakey taught me. I haven't commented too much this season, mainly because of my position. I place myself in the lonely optimist-realist spectrum, ever-hopeful. Few seem to share this with me, which is fair enough. Despite how the season has gone, I have loved my football, and very much appreciate being in the PL, and what it brings. Most people seem to realise that amongst other things, it brings us into regular contact with very, very high quality squads, players and managers. That's a given. What's not a given is us conquering all of these teams in the PL, week-in, week-out. Yet so many seem to expect this. If we somehow do, it will be as uplifting & astonishing to celebrate as our promotion to the PL after so long in the doldrums. And much less likely in my lifetime, tbf. So I choose to appreciate the football, even if it is the opposition who are on top. What so many forget is that we have opponents who also want to win, and have the right to play their hearts out. So when the likes of Southampton play out of their skin for the first time this season, the general assumption on here is that they played crap (!), but we were crapper. We rarely compliment a team who deservedly beat us. It's always our fault - never that an average team raised their game & deserved to win. Also, on this last particular occasion, we suffered a 0-1 defeat away from home. That was a decent result last time we were in the PL. Not now. We've got to win 5-0 every week, and be thoroughly entertaining for every second, or the whining starts building to a cacophony of abuse. Can't we just acknowledge that our opponents out-played us? I for one was delighted at how we kept the score-line so low. Looked like organised chaos, but the keyword is 'organised'. We were. But so were they, all round. It happens. I haven't forgotten those 16 years. I never will. Even if we get hammered more regularly than I would like, I'd much rather be in the PL than competitive 'down there'.
Everything will be fine, all the best and a quick as possible recovery, we all look forward to hearing from you soon.
