    So seems pretty obvious that we have plenty of scope for replacing quite a few players.
    • Roberts
    • Berra
    • Alioski
    • Costa
    • Forshaw
    • Davies
    • Hernandes
    Players in the 23s we need to see if they can make it like Struijk
    • Drameh
    • Greenwood
    • Gelhardt
    • Huggins
    • Casey
    • Cresswell
    We need at least 3 or 4 top signings
    • Keeper
    • Cover for Phillips
    • Cover for Klich

    Think it's a bit early to decide about Forshaw. He could be like a new, class signing. Or .....

    No LB required?

    Looks like Alioski has run his contract down to be free at the end of the season. Rumours abound that he's going to the same fcukin' club as Kewell - and I don't mean the bin dippers. I won't even eat Turkey at Xmas these days, so .....

    On the LB front I am going to stick my neck out and think we’ll see either Huggins or Drameh there next season. I didnt mention a striker as I believe we have Greenwood or Gelhardt who can both play there or at 10. We deffo need cover for Klich and Phillips so need a player who can play both roles and De Paul or Pulgar can play both roles with ease, in fact Klich would be benched.if however Bielsa sees that our kids will not make it he needs to buy a LB, CB if Llorente is goosed and maybe a striker as well as Midfielder

    I'm really looking forward to reaching PL safety & hopefully it'll happen sooner rather than later. Why?, you ask. Well, apart from the obvious, I think it'll be an excellent chance to blood our most promising u23s.

    Burnley beat Villa.

    Mixed view, want Villa down, but want to stay above Burnley.

    Personally, I’m totally unconvinced that U23s football is any gauge of whether a player is ready to step up to the first team. A lot of them really look like it’s men against boys.

    In the main I agree, but the 4 kids we spent a lot of money on in the Summer are a bit different:
    1. Drameh has played for Fulham first team different class and cost a million quid. Plays anywhere in the back 4 and last two games as a flying wing back.
    2. Summerville played in the top Dutch league every week and cost £900k, a flying winger with skills.
    3. Sam Greenwood golden boot winner and top scorer at Arsenal, free kick specialist, penalty specialist and scores goals for fun different gravy this kid. He has scored 7 goals and Bielsa has had him playing at 10 in the last 4 matches and still manages to score or get right in amongst it. Going to be a top player. Cost us £1.3m rising to £3m
    4. Gelhardt is Wayne Rooney I kid you not. His build, his fast feet, his quality is gobsmacking. Re defenders to death when he runs at them, in this league too. Ball on a string and pacey, not easy to knock off the ball and loves to score goals. Started playing as a 10 by Bielsa and still scored 5 in 4 games. Cost us £1.4m rising to £3.5m and played for Bolton.
    These 4 will make it without doubt and Casey, Cresswell and Huggins seem to have something special but a work in progress

    Hope you’re right, but Rooney was playing premier league football at 16. What’s the adage? If you’re good enough you’re old enough?

    I don't think so yet. Still does a job for us and can fill in a number of positions. Would be good to be at a stage where Dallas is on the bench &/or cover because we have a solid midfielder, Ayling at RB, fit CBs & a good LB.

    Dallas is our Paul Madeley. There will always be someone injured or suspended.

    As I see it those I think good enough on the evidence so far for the first team;

    Meslier
    Llorente
    Phillips
    Raphina
    Rodrigo

    Those I'd keep/sign;

    Dallas
    Bamford
    Harrison

    Those I'd sell for the right offer;

    Bamford
    Harrison
    Rodrigo
    Any of the rest.

    Those I'd sell;

    Any of the rest.
