My team NYG have picked up Malik Nabers - who seems to be extremely highly rates at WR - and Nubins at safety. Need to draft in a whole new squad after last season. And the one before.
I really like Latu. Was talk he could be the best player in the class. Medical issues obviously why he fell a bit but if he stays healthy could have a great player Mitchell will be a solid receiver as well
And Bears-Jags and Pats-Jags. Germany gets Giants-Panthers, so there is always someone worse off at least. Brazil gets Packers-Eagles.
Will you look to go to any of the London games? I went to the Vikings-Saints matchup a couple of years ago and loved it (it helped that the Vikings won).
Erm, I'm struggling a bit with how unappealing they are this year. I never bother with the Wembley game (the Spurs games are just way better, I think) - maybe will go to NYJ v MIN to see Rodgers and the Jets.
Meh not the most appealing. Probably the second best of the UK games. Although thinking about which teams would be appealing it’s only really the Chiefs, Niners, Texans and maybe the Dolphins that id be interested in seeing. Every team has a player or two minimum that are stars but only those 4 jump out as being teams Id like to see live
I dunno, I'm a bit worried that a lot of people might want to see Rodgers. But I will do all I can to get tickets.
Nice to see Vikings get a September trip to Green Bay, rather than the December snow fest in sub zero temperatures!
Mind you, a bye week in week 6 is far from ideal. I know it's been scheduled after the London game but that's really early.
Interestingly teams aren't forced to take the post London bye and I'm pretty sure we didn't after our last London trip
So Vikings never had any intention of trading Jefferson. Rightly so IMO. His value to the team eclipses what any team could or would have offered in a trade.
Not the route I would’ve taken, but can’t argue he is a great player who should help McCarthy develop. Hopefully Jefferson doesn’t throw his toys out of the pram if the Vikings are as bad as most people are predicting for the next couple of years
I'm hoping this is a sign Jefferson is impressed by McCarthy. The Vikings should be just as good on defence despite losing Hunter so a lot rests on McCarthy in determining how good the Vikings can be.
This season is very much a developmental one. Getting rid of Cousins who was a fringe top 10 QB and Hunter who was an elite pass rush for 2 rookies is not going to be “just as good” straight away. It was 100% the right decision to make long term as even with Cousins and Hunter the Vikings weren’t doing anything so getting younger and cheaper was definitely the move. Id be surprised if the Vikings were in the playoffs in the next 2 years, and probably 3 depending on how this season goes with McCarthy/Darnold. That would mean Jefferson goes into the final year of his contract when the Vikings should have a roster to compete for at least a playoff run
The free agent signings will help though. Greenard and Van Ginkel are experienced pros. Jones is a definite upgrade at RB. It's far from impossible that we'll make the play offs this season. A record of 9-8 is not beyond this team or even 10-7.
Think we will have to agree to disagree on this. I can’t see them winning more than 7 games as their schedule is hard as well. Doesn’t help that all their division rivals are good so could quite easily be 6 defeats in those games
