I wouldn't say that I'm a natural disliker of Chelsea. My best mate supports them, too, which is always going to endear them to me, if nothing else. Also, let's be grateful that Mad Dog has pumped his £billions in to the club, otherwise Arsenal would be London's only hope of glory (until we get our stadium built), and that would be a massive ****ing embarrassment!
As a tip, don't get so angry thta you can't sort out the quotes, makes a confusing read! Quite a confusing rant once I understood. HIAG is saying it's embarrassing having only one London team (Arsenal) competing for cups and he welcomes Chelsea being able to compete (a sentiment I do not share btw!). How that turns into an anti Spurs rant, I don't understand. Perhaps you can clarify?
As a tip, jumping on somebody's typing errors is the moment it becomes clear that you've lost the argument.
Fair enough, I'm not a professional typist - busted. But could you explain why the earlier post justified your anti Spurs rant? I'm on your forum quite often and would never jump on a post by A87, say, and go off on an anti Arsenal rant, so I'd be interested to know why you felt the need?
it wasn't a rant SD i was merely replying to a post by Hiag where he was saying that Arsenal are an embarrassment to London, and i was pointing out that if we were such an embarrassment then wtf does that make Spurs ?
No he wasn't. He was saying it would be embarrassing having only 1 London team (you) competing for cups. Anyway, got a League Cup tie to worry about now!
why almost. does anyone get byes anymore [its not a competition that i follow much as we always play our kids]
our kids then against your first team This is what happened the last time we played you in the league cup away: http://www.arsenal.com/match-menu/3319084/first-team/tottenham-hotspur-v-arsenal
No it isn't. irony ˈʌɪrəni/ noun the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect. "‘Don't go overboard with the gratitude,’ he rejoined with heavy irony" a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often wryly amusing as a result. "the irony is that I thought he could help me" a literary technique, originally used in Greek tragedy, by which the full significance of a character's words or actions is clear to the audience or reader although unknown to the character.
The golden days of the Arsenal academy, when they produced talented youngsters, like Nasri and Arse Shavings. Shame they abandoned you to win titles, eh?
Whereas all your players stay to win **** all ! 1962 last Spurs title win 1991 last Spurs FA Cup win you guys continue to slag Arsenal off for not winning a title in last 10 years (whilst we have built and paid for a new stadium which had a huge impact on our ability to retain players) yet you ignore the fact that you haven't won a title in over 50 years, so what is your excuse ? Since you last won a major trophy in 1991 how many major trophies have Arsenal won ? If you want to take the piss then fine but try to remember that at all times Arsenal have been competitive (in the top 4 for eons) despite our financial restrictions and yet Spurs haven't managed to match our achievements or come close to doing so despite not having any financial restrictions.
