I was in a very similar couple of yank **** holes. It is fairly decently done in terms of the back drop. The characters are a bit extreme though. Like the cancer patient mother and the senile old gran etc.

In general I found the red necks to be more fun and loud than angry.

Had the local sheriffs deputy working nights in the place were i was and he was always laughing and joking but we had one guy who was a classic angry vet type. a former sergeant who was pissed at the VA and all that stuff.

the guy who ran the place where i was also was the town mayor and this and that so it was funny as ****.

 

****ing loving Mare of Eastown. Shame there's only one episode left

It was interesting this week. I mean its didn't quite deliver a cliff hanger but i reckon theres one coming in this last one but we have a set up for a finale.

having more than one season is not easy, you can't have small town yankland having multiple murders every year. they had one killer and one serial kidnapper already. thats about your quota unless its murder she wrote. At the same time you don't hire kate winslet for one season and have a hit then bail.

I would half assume that the two little ****ers as set up for next season.

 

Loving it too, but tbf, she is doing a version of Frances McDormand.

 

That postcard shown to the chief near the end that he calls Mare up about - is that a plant that the two bullies made her show as a decoy from the real journals stuff? I ask because, why didn't she just show them the bits she copied on her phone? Or am I missing the obvious?

the lad that confessed is far to convenient. Why would anyone go fishing before giving themselves up. No the bother guy who took him fishing is in that picture and the police chief knows it but mare is up in the woods looming for the wrong guy.

He brought a gun so I assume the guy who confessed with be shot having confessed but then the other guy is the real killer
