I think it is mor of a jumpy type of scary, not one that kind of lingers with you for a while. I remember movies like Child's play and Poltergeist, I couldn't look at dolls for weeks! Same with IT, still can't stand clowns.

Weird no more Saw movies for halloween, but they were getting really tiredsome. First one was good though.

Gotta watch some of those movies in the dark to get the effect, nothing on either so any bump or creak will make you wonder. Not sure what other movies are out that look appealing actually.

Got to disagree Jatt on Insidius, Devil was OK but not bad I thought, ok concept behind it and the Thing is a classic! Saw 1 and Grudge 1 after that it got tedious. Saw 1 was really good I thought.

Boogeyman? I didn;t like those but again your opinion so still watch it to see what you think. Make sure the shining is the one with Jack not the tv-show one that came out later.

Anyone ever seen let the right one in? It is up there on the horror lists but I never heard of it....

    Friday trilogy is class.

Insidious - Better than some of the stuff out at the time, by miles aswell. Should of been an 18 and gone all out though.
    The Grude 1, 2, 3 - 3 is a horrible horrible film, the other 2 are decent.
The Thing - seen the original so will comment on that. TERRIBLE.
The Unborn - seen it and have no idea what happened
The Uninvited - isnt this a song?
Devil - Could of been so much better
Saw - 4 films to many.

Good ****ing shout, that one was very good. After that though it got meh.

Original Friday the 13th (with the mom) and the one after (with the bag as mask), original Nightmare on Elm St and original halloween. Those are all getting watched this weekend.

I maintain the exorcist was one of the funniest films ever.

How did people find it scary? Seriously.

Grudge 1 is possibly the scariest film I have ever seen.

Insidious' effects didn't even convince the kids I was watching it with although the general story had great potential the film dissapointed. Devil was annoying, I fell asleep during The Thing and Grudge and Saw got repetitive. I might give Boogeyman a miss then <ok>

Agreed with apart from Insidious. Seen much much better.

The exorcism of Emily Rose is one scary ass film!

Dont be afraid of the dark is pretty laughable for a horror.Im sure most that have seen it or heard about it know how annoying the kid is in it...

Best horror ive seen in the last few years has to be Darkness Falls.Watch that with the lights off <ok>
