Ffs the lad strapping a stupid watch on verstappen. And then the cameras are desperate to get a view of it. Nobody stuck one on le clerc though so is it a verstappen only deal? What a heap of poo if so.
I think these first 2 races have enhanced Charles reputation. We knew he was good but now he’s been given the opportunity to show how good, and truthfully, I actually think he’s a more intelligent driver than Max.
Didn’t Hamilton have to put a watch on straight after the race and have a picture of a watch on the wrist of his glove? Sponsorship innit?
He gives the impression of thinking more and being calmer. He’s looked pretty faultless so far this year. Max might have to learn to think a bit.
If you remember back a few years they used to get handed watches etc by someone in the cool down room after the race before going on the podium
Five time thr temperamental kindergarten kid went whining to the teacher ‘please miss, Leclerc has done something wrong miss’ . Despicable little brat
Max, Lewis, Fernando have shown over the years what separates a great driver/ world champion from a good fast driver. Sainz is a very good fast driver but Charles is showing he has that extra edge of what’s needed to be a World Champion.
Silverstone is going to be sensational this year. This track is extremely limiting for passing with just really the double drs allowing any action. Brazil as well.
Not sure he can! Just look at the same battle this weekend vs last weekend. Max still fell for it so many times. It must have been the 4th time where Max did something different in the DRS zones, it would be interesting to hear what was said to him from the wall! Max needs to learn patience, but he has never had any. As soon as there is a gap he goes for it irrespective of consequences. Same as the 2 DRS zones, how many times did Charles let him get DRS first??? It started to become funny watching Max fall for it time and again.
Great stuff at the front to be fair, only thing I’m gutted with is that I was quietly confident that McLaren and Alpine would make the leap this year and they just haven’t, yet. Those teams and Mercedes would make it titanic, but Ferrari v Red Bull is very good so far.
How much of the thing is downforce/drag and how much is engine? Ferrari owned sector 1 here. Owned it all weekend. But in the race going faster for longer let red bull catch and drs its way last. How close are the engines and is the red bull worse on aero here? In short I think his could come down to who can improve most in aero over the year
2 very different design philosophy but amazingly they are so close. I would say Australia would slightly favour Ferrari as not the long straights of Saudi to help Red Bull and Ferrari being better through corners.
Good question. I think PUs won’t be too different - certainly Ferrari and Honda- but the two teams have very different aero philosophy which is why we see the topsy turvy sectors and super close overall lap time.
Lewis admitting in his after race interview at the end he couldn’t keep up with a Haas. How the mighty have fallen. I’d start on next years car design now.
