Exactly. We all have ups and downs when it comes to football teams, so you should never miss an opportunity as someone will always take the piss when things go badly for you so you shouldn't miss out when you can. Everyone knows football is about being right and gloating, even more so than your team doing well
Liverpool fans might just be getting over the bitter taste of defeat in last season's Champions League final but their run to Kiev earned the club a £71.9m sweetener. Uefa has released the money paid to last season's Champions League and Europa League teams, and Liverpool top the list of British sides after reaching their eighth final. Only winners Real Madrid earned more - £78.4m, including a £13.7m bonus for winning a 13th European Cup. Manchester City earned £56.5m after reaching the last eight, while Chelsea (£57.6m), Tottenham (£54.3m) and Manchester United (£35.7m) only made it to the last 16.
So it's confirmed then that Spurs won't play at their new stadium at all this year, as the work drags on and on. This means that their last champions league game will be having a new one torn against Barca at the Camp Nou and indeed the advert trying to wum the other London clubs has hilariously come back to haunt them a' la HIAG. It's all very #spursy
Yep... It's not our finest moment. Irony is, I received my season ticket pack yesterday with the new stadium access card amongst other little goodies (came in a really nice tin, has to be said, so props to them for that) and then about 8 hours later Spurs announce I basically won't even be able to use my new card until January at the earliest. Fun times.
Now the ASA are investigating them: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/s...dvertising-standards-new-stadium-posters.html And reprimanding them: https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...-complains-about-club-s-stadium-a3984301.html "In this instance, we contacted Tottenham Hotspur and advised them to avoid making claims in future advertising that they cannot fulfil; to avoid disappointing customers.” @PISKIE
HIAG should be advised to avoid making claims that he cannot fulfil or suffer the pain of being kicked repeatedly in the ****.
"Advertising your stadium as the only place in London to watch Champions League football, and then getting knocked out of the Champions League before it even opens, is the most Spurs thing ever!" On twitter
Tottenham have been warned by an advertising watchdog after a promotion which claimed their new stadium would be the "only place in London" to watch Champions League football this season. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has sent the club an advice notice and told them to avoid making claims they cannot fulfil. Spurs have used Wembley as their home, with work on their stadium overrunning. A fan of North London rivals Arsenal complained to the ASA. The new stadium, on the site of their old White Hart Lane ground, is now not set to open until at least January 2019. .
