That clip didn't show the police looking or being professional. Yes they should be present but not in uniform joining in. Just my opinion.

The guy was in the police force from 1990 until 1998, they are the eight years where we as a country, but also Thames Valley police (where he worked), had the highest rates of crime on record. Since 1998 they've fallen almost every year. I'm not sure he's the person I'm looking to for advice, he knows even his own political parties think he's a c*nt.

Edit. Also, a politician intentionally starting a debate with the complaint something is "politicised". Beggars belief.

 

By the looks they're probably Special Constables. Given a remit to have a bit of fun and give a good vibe while maintaining some security.

Here in Norway they tend to use Security companies for that, but you'd be ****ed if any of us danced.

Genuine coppers aren't going to be sat there in the crowd when there's barely enough cash as it is.

I'd hate to be a cop, it's a thankless job full of misery. Everyday is dealing with some scumbags ****, pulling bodies out of rivers or smashed up ones from cars, telling people their loved ones are dead and getting grief from the public.
