the article says it's between 2.4k -> 7.2k a day for the BCG group. To be honest that's about what you pay for consultants from accenture. a nice 10m over 4 months for 40 consultants.
Are there track and trace consultants costing the taxpayer £7k a day or not? I accept that a chunk may be going to the firm that employs them.
My point is that most of the media articles only quote the £7k a day figure when it will only be a couple of the most senior consulting partners that are charged out at this rate - the vast majority will be nowhere near that (I used to work for one of the consulting firms being used on the project and typically a senior partner would be involved in a project for 1 day for every 7-15 days of junior staff time)
yeah, but they were averaging around 3k a consultant per day. Not sure why they needed 40 consultants on around 3k a day (based on a 21 day month). Likewise, it was more the audacity that gove said that 7k a day is good value for money.
Bloody hell Rayner knows how to act in the House calling an MP ’Scum’... And she is deputy leader of the Wooden tops? Seriously not fit to lead.
She’s right though. I assume you aren’t as outraged about your party stopping starving kids being fed.
Don't defend the indefeasible Watford. There is a certain etiquette to being in the House and it needs to be respected. It's bad enough having that SNP rabble in there but to hear that from the deputy of the opposition is not a good look. Plenty of decent ex Mp's and political people are saying the same. This is why Labour won't govern.
Royal Navy Fleet Solid Support ships to be built in the UK please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Updated on Wednesday 21 October 2020, 3:10 PM 2 Minute Read A competition to build three Fleet Solid Support warships – which will launch in Spring 2021 – will help revitalise British shipbuilding by requiring a significant proportion of the build and assembly work to be carried out in the UK. International companies will be invited to work in collaboration with UK firms to feed in their skills and expertise, but the successful manufacturing team must be led by a British company. This will have a huge impact on the local economies across the UK where shipbuilding is a prominent feature. Hundreds of highly skilled jobs will be created as a direct result of today’s announcement, with many more in small and medium sized enterprises throughout the supply chain for the new builds to follow over the next few years. Related: A Guide to Industry 4.0 The Defence Secretary confirmed the news ahead of his speech at the Atlantic Future Forum, where UK and US leaders have gathered on HMS Queen Elizabeth to discuss cooperation across trade, defence and security. Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said: “Shipbuilding has historically been a British success story, and I am determined to revitalise this amazing industry as part of this Government’s commitment to build back better. The Fleet Solid Support warships competition will be the genesis of a great UK shipbuilding industry and allow us to develop the skills and expertise for the shipyards of tomorrow.” Related: FactoryNOW launched to help British manufacturers The Fleet Solid Support ship competition will build on the success of the Type 31 programme, which will be built primarily in Scotland and is expected to support 1250 highly skilled jobs and 150 apprenticeships across the country. The warships will incorporate next-generation technology with a purpose-built design and will eventually support HMS Queen Elizabeth and Prince of Wales as part of the Carrier Strike Group, which will undertake its first operational deployment next year. Today’s announcement follows a period of market engagement and a clearer understanding of how the strike group will operate and will allow the MOD to consider a broader range of ship designs. As well as setting out requirements for British involvement, the Fleet Solid Support ship competition will set targets to ensure industry delivers on time and at pace.
You’re the one who thinks some random spiv being called scum is more significant than your party voting to stop vulnerable kids getting a meal. If she’d called him an evil little nonce then you might have a bit of a point but it would still be less importance than real **** actually happening.
Quite appalled that as a country we cant stretch to feeding children who cant afford to eat. Appalled that people actually vote against such an idea. Is this building back better? Is this levelling up? What a society we live in. Those who voted against this should hang their heads in shame. Disgusting.
