You have proved yet again that you actually know nothing. Before you try to sound smart Stroller, at least know what you are talking about. You do sound stupid.

So Pretty Useless Patel, playing to her audience while talking to GB ‘News’, says she opposes the England team taking the knee as it’s a ‘gesture’. But she supports the people who boo the players taking the knee…….which would be a gesture as well. In other words (and no need to thank me for clarifying your position Home Secretary) she disapproves of anti racist gestures but supports racist ones.

Time to add ‘Tory voters’ to the Venn diagram.

Apparently there is a man called Douglas ‘Dougie’ Smith who used to organise sex parties and now does strategy for the Tory party. Unlike Cummings he’s very shy so you don’t hear much about him, but he’s hugely influential. His current plan, as shown by Patel, Oliver Dowden, Gavin ‘Idiot’ Williamson, but confused a bit by Johnson asking fans not to boo, is to ‘weaponise woke’, as a way to appeal to a certain demographic (come on, no need to spell it out….) while distracting from other, more tangible issues.

    Cognitive Gammonance!

UK and Australia in first post-Brexit trade deal - BBC News

The deal is the first to be built from scratch since the UK left the EU.

The UK government has signed a long list of trade deals over the past year, but they have been rollovers of those the UK already had as part of the EU.

The war against 'woke' is just a revisiting of the old campaign against 'political correctness gone mad' and is, I believe, a symptom of the racist tendencies that were unlocked by the Brexit campaign and subsequent elevation of an unscrupulous populist to the position of Prime Minister.

'These people are trying to tell me I can't be racist, sexist or homophobic and I won't stand for it'.

When I posted a Gammon checklist the other day, Goldie told me that I was in a 'woke minority' on all of the issues listed. The sad and shameful thing is that he may well be right, and it goes to show what a nasty, grubby little place this country has become since 2016.

I thought you were being sarcastic. :emoticon-0100-smile I have read up on some of the things and if it all happens it will be pretty good for both countries.

You must feel pretty stupid yourself now for having wet yourself with excitement every time we copied a deal that we already had via the EU.

No because now the deals will benefit us and not Germany and France. We don’t have to worry about 27 others and what they think.
All that stupidity by French will come back to haunt them when we don’t buy their beef and wine. actually I would rather trade with Australia and NZ than some of the EU countries.

So, the first actual new trade deal we have done post-Brexit will have abandoned all previous commitments to food standards and animal welfare and will damage the environment by encouraging the shipment of food and goods thousands of miles across the planet rather than to our neighbours. The predicted race to the bottom has begun.

As a result of Brexit, we are legislating to ban all live animal exports. EU law prevented us from doing this.

I have just been sent the funniest memes mocking the BBC doing remakes of the Dam Busters/princess Diana and Tommy Cooper biopic. I would post them but I would get called racist. However they are funny as! <laugh> And so true of the BBC

I see a few brands are pulling or at least pausing their advertising on GB news. Good start. Early days though. Bit put off by Farage being an opening guest. Desperate times eh
