The mirror, like always... There's some credibility in what "some German bloke" says, though. Brexit will be economically bad for the EU27 as well as ourselves. That's why everyone on both sides is worried that the people on our side who have the responsibility to do it effectively and minimise the damage for everyone are so ineffective at it. They seem more concerned with their own party machinations and their place within it instead of doing their job.
Yon know something Col, that's exactly what I thought when I heard on the news Barnier's comments.........
Some bloke called Peter North, who 'heads the Leave Alliance' cheerfully reckons that we could be heading for a ten-year recession, but it would still be worth it. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/top-brexit-campaigner-admits-uk-looking-ten-year-recession-1642598 Is that really what the 52% voted for?
All they do is threaten and delay mate. They're petrified that another country will try to leave their elitist, undemocratic little club. We managed just fine before the EU and we'll be fine without them. Just tell 'em to **** off!
A big chunk of the 52% didn't have a clue what they were voting for, they just had some vague thoughts about what they were voting against...
Dave south America reckons if we stay in Europe we might get 10 years of surplus Or 10 plagues I can't remember There was frog's involved somewhere anyway
Always like to listen to Michael 'porthole' Portillo on things. It was interesting listening to his comments on last nights This Week. He was spot on with his comments on the EU. His thoughts on Catalonia were also interesting. http://www.express.co.uk/news/world...atalunya-european-union-espana-brussels-video
Some bloke on Sky News was saying yesterday that Brexit could cause problem for the Nuclear sites in UK as 2/3 of stuff comes in from Europe (parts)... Today the BNI is preparing for a 'No deal' scenario. This could mean back to burning coal and have lovely warm log fires.
I quite like Portillo, but it would be nice if he tried to put forward a solution for a change. He’s as bad as me, criticising from the margins, except he gets to do it on telly. The EU is a player in this, but it’s really about Madrid and Barcelona. Or building more wind farms. Not sure about this. No deal doesn’t mean that trade will end, it will just be done on different terms and be more complicated. I suppose there could be special EU rules about nuclear stuff, we’ll just have to comply with them.
I would be up for wind farms. I am correct in that it's cleaner energy than Nuclear and better long-term for environment? I also think modern houses should have small ones attached.
Good Lord............did you hear that piss head Junkers today? Please, for the love of the imaginary God.........tell 'em to **** off!!
Well, sounding pissed, he used a drinking analogy to say that the British must pay for their round. All they do is go on about how we must be punished and must be worse off etc etc. Tell 'em to **** for May and while you're at it, tell that twat Hammond to **** off too!
I’m getting the impression that absolutely everyone involved in this, no matter who’s side they are on, is doing their very best to **** it up.
I would love to see the look on the faces of all these patronising EU bigwigs as Britain says: "Ok, enough is enough. You come back to us when you're ready to stop delaying and get on with a mutually advantageous agreement. If you can't, then we'll bugger off and look after ourselves." Byee! On another note, I see that the BBC bias over brexit has been exposed as it's revealed that the number of anti-brexit guests on their political and news programmes have out-numbered pro-brexit guests by 4 to 1. What a shocker (Not!!). Just his morning they had a left wing anti-brexit bloke and a pro-brexit woman who was admittedly poor. They let the bloke drone on and on and on and on.
He seemed to be saying that if there's 28 of you in a bar, no one can leave until everyone's bought a round. I've been on weekends like that. Meanwhile, the great British public are beginning to cotton on to the reality of Brexit. http://uk.businessinsider.com/yougov-poll-brexit-support-new-low-2017-10
Seeing that only 11 of the 28 are net contributors to the EU his analogy is inaccurate as well as fatuous. I think Greece should be let off its round at least.
