It's amazing how someone can see words like tweet and retweet enter the common language, something no other social media has managed - but decide they know better and flush all that down the toilet by renaming the platform what he wanted to call Paypal twenty years ago before they kicked his ass to the kerb And, of course, the platform's f'n broken as per...
I see the Germans have bonded over the one thing they have in common with Israel then And let's see what their new best friends are up to right now...
The worst thing is somebody, somewhere will be adding "chocolate teapot slaps across the wrist" to their AI prompts
Great. So I'm assuming they're probably going to get cleared of all 116 charges and we just have to act like everything is normal, right?
Iran's President has died in a helicopter crash. I'm sure that this event will have no political ramifications whatsoever. RIP, Butcher of Tehran. Or not.
Just the Tories covering up international corporate corruption. To be fair they are very experienced in doing so!
The International Criminal Court has had an arrest warrant filed for war crimes against Netanyahu on the advice of George Clooney's wife.
The infected blood scandal is one of many reasons why I haven’t ever, nor wouldn’t in the future, clap the NHS. Yes, there are good, bad and indifferent people in every large organisation; the very good and the very bad shouldn’t be taken as an indicator as to the overall quality of the organisation as a whole. But when you create a narrative around the NHS, pretending that it is all good and that all workers should be viewed as selfless, hard working and competent heroes, you shut down any legitimate criticism of those within the organisation who are not worthy of it and enable all of them to work in a comfortable environment where failures can be brushed under the carpet and the voices of the aggrieved are easily silenced. It’s a very British trait that we are conditioned to believe and accept that our large public organisations like the NHS, the police and courts, local authorities etc are dedicated, competent, decent and honest, despite ever increasing evidence to the contrary. The reality is that the popular image and reputation of the NHS won’t be adversely affected by this scandal; in a few months time, it will be forgotten. Then something else will rear its head, there will be lots of handwringing for five minutes and then it will all be forgotten again. Nothing will change.
Nothing to see here, just somebody who harrumphs about "cancel culture" cancelling a guest live on air And because it's never just one thing with that soon-to-be ex-channel
1. I don't "clap" for any state sector services. 2. As for this specific incident, anyone who could have given blood at least twice a year over the import period, and didn't, you can evidently live with the utter disgrace of what you enabled to come to pass. "It’s a very British trait that we are conditioned to believe and accept that our large public organisations like the NHS, the police and courts, local authorities etc are dedicated, competent, decent and honest, despite ever increasing evidence to the contrary." I pay for state sector SERVICES, not to worship state sector cults. Those that do the latter, get the above.
