was you going ape-**** about 4-5 ****ing 1? Remember moaning about home form? Remember moaning about the strike force? Remember moaning about Diame every week? Remember saying how great a job Wagner was doing? Or Silva at Watford? Ever moaned, even though we had more than double the shots of opposition, that 'there's no system'? Did you think Perez was useless in the hole? Did you think Lejuene shouldn't be anywhere near the team? Did you think Nitro would have saved our season? Well you're in luck. I have generously created this thread to help all who need to suck it up and admit Rafa knows better. Thought I'd get it in early so the whole board can feel fully repented in time for the start of next season. I'll start. I thought trading Kennedy for Aarons seemed fair pointless at the time. Yeh, I'll admit it.
Rafa always knows best. We’ll get £20m for Mitro and then buy Jorgensen who will be the new van nilstrooy.
I have not been overly enamoured with Rafa since he joined, largely because I always felt he was not a good fit for the club, rather than because he is a poor manager. At his previous clubs he had good backing, had a reliance on squad rotation, and had a couple of outstanding talents who came up big for him again and again. Initially, a limp series of performances obviously not enough to reverse a season of woe, which saw us relegated, and then hefty championship investment and we barely scraped the title. This season was more or less a freebie, because I thought our squad needed improvement which just didn't come. We spent most of our limited resources on Murphy, who hasn't played much, and it was obvious we would struggle. This largely played out as anticipated until the second half of the season, and now it's gone mental. Overall, I concede he's done a very good job, but we may struggle to keep him now.
When the thread title says “I” do you mean me or you? Or is this just another way everyone can have a dig at Pouchy?
Sorry I've yet to vote, I'm in the 1-10 bracket. To be fair mate I think only one or two of those points can be levelled at Pouch. We've all doubted the great one, hence my confession. You planning on confessing or continuing on the defensive?
Must say I'm unimpressed lads, the main offenders are incredibly quiet in defeat. Remember, Rafa sees all.
Give Pouchy another day or two to word his response outlining how the excellent work and resources of Ashley and Charnley bailed Rafa out in January following a couple of months in which he had been found out as a manager. Some bullshit is harder to polish than others, he needs some extra elbow-grease.
I am and have been the epitomy of a Happy Clapper since Day 1. Just like the players form is temporary but class is permanent. Most important signing we can make this summer will be a new contract for Rafa.
