After last night's Italian Cup semi-final defeat together with being 9 points off 2nd and a Champions League exit before the group stage all while spending more money than any other Serie A club, it's almost certain that Rafa is leaving Napoli this summer. Indeed his contract expires and as yet he hasnt been offered a new one. So considering his family still lives in Liverpool do we expect to see him at Man City as they wait for Pep? Or even back at Liverpool themselves...?
I don't think Liverpool will get rid of Rodgers and I doubt Man City will see him as being good enough.
Well I agree, I think he's a terrible manager playing really defensive football, but I reckon this is 100% what he is hoping for. There are rumours about Real Madrid inexplicably, the fans still love him there as 'one of theirs'.
Agree with the Rodgers bit - Citeh supporting mate reckons Rafa might be lined up to do a job for a season until Guardiola's contract at Bayern expires.
He is an excellent manager. Rogers has no plan B and city may look at what he did for Chelsea. He should be in any list.
If I was Sunderland or Newcastle - I'd be considering Benitez ahead of fat Sam or Carver for the start of next season.
Looks like he's finally on his way out today: http://www.football-italia.net/66680/benitez-departure-close It says here he rejected a contract but I'd be stunned if they offered him one. His team are ****e despite spending ****loads and they'll almost certainly fail to qualify for the UCL, his minimum requirement for the season. Gazetta dello Sport is suggesting Real Madrid is his likely destination. Mental.
I think Liverpool or Citeh is unlikely, but to manage in England a probability. I saw an article that he may go to West Spam, that might be more likely.
Surely this can't actually be happening: http://www.football-italia.net/66726/benitez-set-madrid I know he's got history there but **** me...
