The Burnley game last season we went 5-4-1 keeping everyone back in a defend at all costs manner. Even Steve Bruce isn't foolish enough to try that against an already relegated side at home in a game we absolutely must win to stand half a chance of survival.
Even if they don't win another game we need to win 5 from 7. The likelihood is they'll win 3 or 4 of the remaining which would leave us having to win every single game. 7 wins on the bounce, with a defensive manager who coaches goal scoring out of the side. That means we need to score at least 7 goals minimum, almost double the number we scored in both February and March put together. 4 months worth of goals in one month. Not going to happen is it?
Lets be realistic - to make 2nd place we need to win 7 out of 7 and even that might not be enough. Play offs are a lottery but it would be good to go into them with some kind of momentum
1. Boro 2. Burnley -------------- 3. Brighton 4. HULL CITY 5. Derby 6. Wendies So the Rams in the semis and on current form, they'd beat us
This should be the game Sky show. It has been obvious for a week or two that the Wendies v Cardiff would mean far more than Bolton v Hull City. I expect the Wendies to get at least a draw in this game sadly for Cardiff City. Whoever finishies 3 though wont fancy a 2 legged PO tie with the Wendies.
