After it seemed like Barcelona had missed out on the capture of Raphinha, reports late on Friday claimed thattheBlaugranahad pulled off a turnaround by reaching an agreement to sign the winger from Leeds Unitedin a deal worth €60 million. Barça are reportedlyplanning to pay the transfer fee to Leeds United in multiple instalments. However, their competitors for his signing, Chelsea are prepared to pay off the entire fee in a single instalment, which would be favourable to Leeds United. However, as perESPN, Raphinha remains insistent on joining Barcelona this summer. The 25-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Catalan giants and is unwilling to consider any other offers, which gives theBlaugranaan edge. The report further adds that if, for some reason, a move to Barça does not materialise this summer due to their economic issues, Raphinha is prepared to wait for six months or even a year to secure a switch to Camp Nou. It means that the Brazilian winger is prepared to stay put at Leeds United for another six months or an entire season and sign for Barcelona in 2023 rather than join any other club, including Chelsea. The player’s stance on the situation as well as him reaching an agreement over personal terms has been critical to Barça staying alive in the race for his signing. Whether they can get the deal over the line this summer remains to be seen.
Raphinas petulance could cost him £5.2m which is the difference between his wages at Leeds and Chelsea. Idiotic so fk him, lets hope he plays well if selected as Marsch may not see him in his new system?
So it appears we are after 3 more for the first 11 and upto 3 more for the u23's,then we're done and unlikely any will come in during January, unless we don't get the 3 now. Got a horrible feeling about DeKetelaere, seems his agent is touting him to the highest bidder, seems more about wages than anything else don't want that attitude at the club, not sure he's all that anyway
Apparently every man and his dog were after him, well according to his agent but no firm bids in yet, we're supposed to be putting one in on Monday, this is the agent who said he had no interest in talking to Leeds, the same agent that said AC Milan were the one's most likely to sign him, AC responded by saying, they have no interest in him. The whole thing stinks
Yup seems last year we could have him for anywhere between £10m and £17.5m depending on which ever report you wanted to believe. At £4m seems a very low risk,
So Brighton line him up for £4m, then will more than likely sell Cucurella to Citeh for around the £40m mark, that's how to do business boys
If Rapha stays there will be no marquee signing replacing him but should still be going after a striker and Phillips replacement. Spent £50m so far which is 100% of the Phillips dosh and still need his replacement
So net spend so far zero. I’d be surprised if there isn’t around £25m available to spend on a DM even if Raphinha stays. There’ll be a few leaving as well. If Rodrigo stays he’ll probably be used as a striker, alternating with Bamford and Gelhardt.
Wakey? Good Yorkshire lad 5ft 8 standing upright (which I’ve never seen in full), decent left foot, better right middle finger according to his grab a grandad profile page (no interest in verifying that), talks nonsense for fun. Ex squaddie by trade, now an executive courier of bulk goods
