    Seems down to earth, yet confident. Just our kind of person. I like the fact that he is almost in awe of Southampton...I could get used to being a big club :)

    Might be my memory failing, but didn`t he knock Saints back earlier in his career - around his Swindon days ?

    Nice article. Now that the dust has settled on the transfer the most important part of it was this line...
    At Southampton he is back with a former Burnley team-mate Jay Rodriguez, who is close to a return from his long-term injury problems.
    Well if your memory is failing then so is mine. I made a point of this in an earlier post on Charlie Austin. I put it down to supporter rumour, but I think it was more of a quote from a newspaper, from when both Swindon and Saints were in League One and about to play each other. I'll forgive him the lack of respect back then. He was 5-6 years younger. All water under the bridge.
