The next three games define our season.

9-7 points and we're safe, 6-4 points and we can hope, 3 points or less and we're in trouble.

    Does anyone disagree?

Depends on the fortunes of those below us plus Reading to come into the mix if the 6 point penalty is appliesd. QPR also dropping like a stone.

I think 48/49 points will be enough and we have another 6 games after the next 3.

Apart from the next three, we've got 3 home games in April that we should win - Sunderland, Stoke and Huddersfield - those should give us this mythical 9 points.

Anything at Rotherham and Blackpool will be a real bonus for us and a blow to them - I'm worried about the Jack's game though.

Next three games Rotherham, Jacks and Blackpool. Agree LLF. We really could do with a points cushion before we take on Sunderland, Sheffield United, Watford, Stoke, Huddersfield and Burnley which will be tough.

Every game is a challenge. No game is a banker. It’s just too tight to call.

We should be bigging City’s chances after 3 points were stolen from us yesterday in Floodgate - so I was just looking at the foot of the PL to see which 3 teams we’ll be playing next season <whistle>

4 points separate 9 teams all on the same games played.

It’s impossible to call but I wouldn’t be surprised to see us facing Keifer, Plug’s lot & Palace

Lamouchi in his ten games has got 10 points.

    This is our run in:
    Blackpool away
    Sunderland home
    Sheff U away
    Watford away
    Stoke home
    Huddersfield home
    Burnley away
    Rotherham away tba

Call me pessimistic but can anyone seriously see City winning any of those? A few draws and maybe the odd sneaked win but that won’t be enough even with QPR & Reading (when eventually they get their points deduction) in the mix.

The only good thing about dropping down is we wouldn’t have to play those lot again

It all depends on how we react to today's disappointment. The team can either sulk and effectively give up hope or use the setback to boost our determination.
Despite my earlier doom and gloom, I have remembered that we probably would have won at Rotherham and had recently been looking capable of doing what's needed. Still points available that aren't beyond us

    I agree with Clingo.

Rotherham was a farce and if it weren't for yesterday's sucker punch at the death we'd have been looking at 4 useful points in the bag.

I was encouraged by our fightback and determination yesterday after such a woeful start.

Until yesterday, our form across the last 6 games was better than anyone in the bottom half save for Stoke, so as long as the players and club react in the right way (which I'm sure they will) I still see us staying up .

We’ve got to play QPR and Reading, so hopefully we can assist you stay up. I bet you won’t be complaining if we get a couple of 94th minute winners, eh Nin?
