We could still be sold if RD wanted to sell. But the Aussies? After hearing this, months after they popped up in the directors box? Not for me now.
Update on the “Aussie takeover” via the VOTV. The Aussies had agreed a price with Duchatelet for the club, then discovered that they didn’t have sufficient funds within their consortium (NLA right all along ....) Duchatelet won’t fvck the time wasters off, he is clinging to the knowledge that Muir has the money to buy Charlton himself, and may yet change his mind and so. What a fvcking farce !
So, it's as you were. The Aussies have set the valuation. No-one, including the Aussies, is prepared to meet this valuation.
The Aussies were prepared to pay RD’s valuation, in the same way I’m prepared to pay the valuation on a new Bentley
Saw him on Saturday, sitting alongside a very prominent CARD / pro Aussie cheerleader from Charlton Life. We know he still looks in on here because he sends the occasional reminder that he does so. At the very least, the Aussies have led Charlton fans on all summer. Was their output via Charlton Life “erroneous” as well?
Strangely enough this is good news. I was as deceived as anybody by Muir and the Consortium. I spoke up on their behalf in my ignorance, and my desire to see a take-over and freedom at last from the dead hand of Duchatelet. Now the Consortium affair is truly finished. It can no longer be used to string fans along (that's the good news). Focus must now be on RD and the lies coming from Lieven De Turck about other interested parties etc. What is really happening to CAFC now? Is the Club being run down and pushed into the 4th tier, perhaps even out of the League altogether, in order to create the right conditions for the training ground and the Valley to be sold off? As far as I'm concerned that is no less credible than the double-talk and deceit about the Club being up for sale.
The Club must make a statement, now that Andrew Muir has declared his interest was “erroneous”. What about those beer meetings though?

Reason for lack of comms is still the NDA. Ignore the rumours. 1:23 am - 24 Oct 2018 Half one in the morning - obviously just got back from the Millwall v Wigan game
The latest word from Team Aussie is that the Aussie takeover “hasn’t folded”...and that Muir remains in the background. The Aussies cannot comment further due to the NDA #beermeeting
I know for a fact that the 'Money' behind the Aussie takeover withdrew over the summer because he felt he was being pi55ed about by the Belgian, he now will not invest. This guy recommended two other possible investors (less wealthy individuals!) but it seems that they may not be interested. What Muir's role is nobody knows??.. he has no knowledge or interest in football and does not want to risk any of his own money. So what would he do? Like Michael Schumacher, their bid is on life support with very little chance of recovery.
As @DickPlumb rightly posted elsewhere, this has become all about keeping 2/3 people in the spotlight. Rick Everwrong also hasn’t had a slice of attention for a few weeks now.
Roland is all set to wreak havoc on our club in the summer. I can't read it any other way. Promotion seems unlikely, the nucleus of the squad will be out of contract, Including Bowyer. These are our glory days. Best to enjoy them, as our new member is doing.
