hi fellas! hope, youre well. carlisle,1 55: some potentially smart horses here, not least imperial aura and trio for rio, but,at least today,SOLE PRETENDER might be able to beat them,as he has a vital fitness edge over them, even if the form looks ordinary enough.but it could be enough to score today.. ludlow,2 10: gortroe joe looks a solid contender here, but the most potential surely lies with THATS A GIVEN.made a pleasing winning debut in the spring, and was thought good enough,to contest a valuable bumper over in ireland on his next start.this is considerably easier today, and he could be quite smart..
carlisle,2 30: this looks a trappy little race,as all of these have claims,if taking to fences first time up.DELIRE D ESTRUVAL,though, might come out on top today,as he was a very useful hurdler last season, and his best form was surely, when beating midnight shadow at haydock, and that horse won the scottish champion hurdle a few months later.he also did receive a good comment from his trainer in a recent stable tour,so could be an exciting recruit to chasing.
carlisle,3 05: the dark horse here is surely evron, and hes much respected on british debut, but i think,MAIRE BANRIGH is just as promising, and she gets a lot of weight from all the others today.her win last time out is also working out well enough,so decent shout today..
southwell,3 30: i quite like vinnie lewis here, but i d have preferred to see a bit more last time out,on his seasonal debut,so hes passed over today,in favour of TRIXSTER.he was still a bit green when winning last time out,but he did it well enough in the end,and should go well again today.stable in form too.. carlisle,3 40: this looks a decent contest, and i expect BALLYMALIN to go well today.he was one of the staying chasing finds of last season, and though his form was a bit down at the end,he ran in some tough races, and is back down on a good mark again..big shout.
It even drifted out from 100/1 to 150/1- I'm sure some greedy bugger lost a few quid laying it and I couldn't be happier for him!!
Two horses robbed of victory at Cheltenham today by the false running rail. Surely now they have to come up with a better system!
