Some very interesting British horses over in Ireland today but am liking the look of ACEY MILAN. Running off a mark of 125 he has shown so much potential but hasn’t pulled it off yet. For what he did in bumpers he could be absolutely thrown in over this distance and I’ve read comments saying that the Anthony Honeyball saying that he is a 3miler through and through he is a decent price too

How strong is the novice chase at Punchestown today?

    Arkle winner
Dipper, Scilly Isles and JLT winner
    Maghull winner
    Fairyhouse Ryanair Novice Chase winner

.......... and Willie's "dark horse" Chacun Pour Soi.

(Just a shame Le Richebourg is still sidelined or am I being greedy?)

If I were having a bet (which I'm not) I would be tempted by Chacun Pour Soi, looked a monster on debut. No idea who is going to be riding him though ....... Patrick maybe?

Can’t have him whatsoever going from a Beginners chase to this against the best novice chaser this season. His JLT form is Rock solid just can’t see him getting beat

I love Punchestown racing, but as for finding a winner it is oh so difficult. I will stick to UK racing as at least I do sometimes manage a 'Blue Moon' winner! :emoticon-0100-smile

    Afternoon gents.

Firstly, a timely mention for Messis free kick last night. Right out of the very topest drawer that was. Still think Ajax Barca final, and what a game that could be!!

Today's loose change e/w treble is going on Michael Madgwicks 3 at Salisbury.

    Good luck folks.

In the 5.55 Salisbury Richard Hannon's Alhakmah is all the rage at about evens. She started her career promisingly before being turned over at 4/7 Fav next time. An expensive purchase at 420,000 Guineas she can be expexted to progress a fair bit and main opponent in the betting, John Gosden's She's Got You has to concede 7 lbs. I went for the bargain basement buy Hotsy Totsy, who only cost five grand. She started out OK at Newbury and may run better than her odds of 11/1. Rather than wade in heavy on the favourite, I had a wee each-way on Hotsy Totsy. Hopefully she can make the three.

    Sal 5.55 Hotsy Totsy 11/1

In the 7.25 Chelmsford Red Impression is a warm favourite and interesting. She looked good when winning her second race and looks to have scope. That form is decent but yet again Roger Charlton has picked a lesser starting point than one might imagine for his better looking 3YO's the stable is 0/20 at the moment and promising filly Fashion's Star stank the place out at Ascot yesterday.

Red Impression's promise is respected but confidence is tempered by the stable achievements this season to date. I thought Royal Intervention looked a solid alternative, having made a decent start at 2YO and she could progress this year. The stable is in fair form and she could be the one to capitalise if the Charlton filly fails to fire.

    7.25 Chelmsford Royal Intervention 4/1

Backed the Varian horse in this but only because I have been told to. They gave us the nod the last day when it won and they are confident of a place tonight.
    Good luck with yours.
