This was printed a while ago. Didnt it prove that football prices have seen the greatest % price increase of any commodity? I'm sure I remember it being compared to the price of beer and it would be something like £30 a pint if it had risen at the same rate. These facts are sketchy admittedly, I'm going purely from memory.
So in todays money it would have only been just over a fiver to get into City or just over £100 for a season pass.
Really? I always thought it was a 70's thing. Edit - a quick google and so it was. Very surprised. I definitely wouldve guessed it was older looking at some of the early episodes. Still, Peckham was a ****hole then.
It would be interesting to compare player salaries in the Premiership over the same period, I'm guessing wage inflation may have been higher than ticket price inflation Just what is Ronaldo after to return to the Premiership ?? £500k a week !!
Is that's what is being reported? i dont read any sport media. Just how much money do you really need? And would he really rather live in Manchester than Madrid? If it was 200k a week playing for Real in Madrid or 500k a week playing for Man Utd in Salford then I'd defo stay in Madrid.
He has said that he would like a move back to the Premiership when his Madrid contract expires & yes £500k per week is being reported with his preferred clubs being Manchester United or Manchester City
I used to pay 60p in 1981 to get in. 30p for programme and 10p to get the 25 Outer Circular Bus home from North Road. First season pass cost me £18.00 in 1982.

think he's on more than £200k a week at Real BCC - any figures thrown about by the Spanish press are usually net of tax, etc., - whilst there's lots on Spain can seemingly avoid tax (I don't mean just ex pats) the big footy earners get theirs sorted by their club - Messi & his old man made t**ts of themselves by trying to manipulate his royalties, etc., earnings and as Real take 50% of their players royalties I'd have thought it was at best dodgy to mess with those - also accounts for Falcao getting stupid money from MU when coming from Monaco....the joys of tax....
I think I was paying about 50p to get in then. But walking there and back to save money. A round trip of about 10 miles! I think it was a bit later, probably 85 that City let you in for free on a UB40.
