Mark Greaves made 177 league appearances for City. Jacob is currently on 155. Yes this by far the most father/son appearances for the Tigers. The other candidates, Pat and Jamie Heard, 84 (all Pat, Jamie never played in a League match). Think that's the only other contender from memory, but then that's a memory that has Carvalho playing tomorrow night so it's not that reliable!
How could you forget the Ashbees!! 240+ starts for Ian alone. Would be crazy to basically have none throughout our history and then potentially have two lining up in the same team at some stage next season.
Played a couple of pub friendlies with him as my cricketing team mate John Hawley used to bring him along to games Long time ago that!!
It is a long time ago, it certainly dates us: your mate was playing a ringer if he was bringing Vinnie to pub matches, he was a county player and a very good cricketer.
