Yes, Oli had a 5.8 rating from WhoScored and was subbed after 66 minutes, though that was mainly tactical to chase the game.
England beat San Marino 10 nothing. Ramsdale did not get a rating, presumably because he had absolutely nothing to do.
Pretty much, but he did make one excellent save, pushing a low shot destined for the bottom right corner round the post to safety. Since moving to Arsenal he really has gone up a level. He's been so good he has even quietened the previously constant moaning about Martinez being sold to Villa.
Pointless games in a busy season FIFA need to get their act together and get on top of these qualification games.
Pointless corrupt tournament in Qatar. All this woke bullshit from team England forced in our faces but total silence of actual modern day slaves building the stadiums , homosexuality is illegal plus all manner of human rights issues. Are women even allowed to go to games?
The kneeling and rainbow nonsense. If they really cared about gay rights or BLM/race baiting then they wouldn't go to Qatar . Ethics go out of the window when money's involved. Anal sex between two men is punishable up to 7 years in prison .
So you're ok with when someone dies, taking a moment of silence, or a minute of applause, and paying respects to remembrance day etc. But totally against taking a stand against racism and supporting gay rights? and you think is nonsense?
Gays have equal rights in the UK and we don't have slaves here . Qatar has slaves and homosexuality is illegal . Even if I had an all expenses trip to the World Cup I would refuse to go because I have principles .
There's still racism happening daily in the UK though, and it's still a massive problem in football games. That's why they are taking the knee. Gay people get beaten up, bullied and made to feel shamed. It's just showing their support to the community. Not ''Woke Nonsense''. Can't argue about Qatar, it was corrupt from the start, and a backwards Country. It would have been good to see nations boycott it.
Team England are happy to ignore human rights atrocities for money . Putting rainbow laces on and kneeling for George Floyd forever won't stop Qatar from persecuting gays and trafficking modern day slaves .
It's not meant to, it's just a statement. What can we really do about changing places like Qatar. But young kids seeing their heroes supporting the LGBT and being against racism, hopefully will mean they won't grow up as little ****s.
If I was a homosexual or black and aware that Qatar treats gays as criminals and actual slavery of humans was still going on there then I would refuse to go to the World Cup. Obviously modern day footballers will do anything for money and have zero principles. They are just woke hypocrites
When I was living in China Arsenal's Ozil spoke out about the Muslims being put in concentration type camps . CCTV cancelled all Arsenal games so they dropped him out of the team . The Chinese are one of the Premier league's biggest customers so they do as China tells them to. Was there any kneeling for actual persecuted Muslims in China from the players or did Gary Lineker use his voice to condemn the CCP ? Nope they kept picking up the millions and keep their mouths shut . I don't take moral lectures from these entitled millionaire hypocrites
Well.... Saudi Arabia just bought Newcastle and passed the fit and proper owners test for the Premiership (I mean they set up a company, but still everyone knows it's the Royal Family/ Country) so they must be fit and proper The truth be told we wouldn't have a bar with any of those middle eastern places if it wasn't for oil or China if it wasn't for the cheap manufactured goods, both are horrific and it's obvious FIFA were bribed for the world cup. (as I was writing you typed about China, but I am not going to change it)
All fair points, but I still think it's good seeing them take the knee, and support the LGBT communities. Not really much we can do about other Countries, or politics behind the scenes, but if we can kick it out of the sport, will be a good start.
I'm ambivalent about taking the knee, rainbow laces, etc. I agree with Duncan about the hypocrisy of having the WC in Qatar, turning a blind eye to human rights abuses as soon as there's money to be made, etc., while gesturing to the world about how enlightened we are. It's phony, superficial and self-serving. On the other hand, I think many people are against taking the knee etc because they want to avoid looking at their own prejudices and to close their eyes and pretend there's no discrimination in the UK (the 'I haven't got a racist bone in my body' brigade). So in that sense I'm in favour of these gestures because at least they stop issues being swept under the carpet.
For me I don't know why the football authorities didn't rejuvenate the 'kick it out campaign' when this all started I had a good look through the BLM website to see what it had on it and you could see a left wing bias on it. Much like in Newspapers the Daily Mail there is a right wing bias. I would like the anti racist message to be apolitical. I suggested a small correction due to a typing on one of the BLM pages as there was a slight error, never got back to me. Pfft. Anyway if we want to mix politics and sport should we have a separate thread? Come on Pukki lead Finland to victory!
I'm watching England U21s Yes I took the knee with a rainbow Dildo up my bum I haven't got a racist/homophobic bone in my body. I would nosh off Dion Dublin to prove it Aarons on the bench
