We all have to be pretty happy with this one don't we guys? Look at the second rate foreign ****e Carr has been lumbering us with for years. He English, he an International and he's a proven PL player. An apparent change, or at least relaxation of the recruitment policy, and a small but significant step in the right direction for me...............as is Shelvey. Perhaps not happy days yet, but its looking a little less cloudy.
Yep him and Shelvey are risks, but crying out to be made No1 somewhere. They are english, have something to aim for with the summer and are better than what we have.
Nailed on. I expect something explosive, us British do love it when we have a point to prove. As you say, will he then even turn up the following week? We British are also a fcking lazy bunch with a tendency to take the foot off the gas once we've "made it".....
Done Deal http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20160127/newcastle-sign-andros-townsend_2281670_5304402 Newcastle Sign Andros Townsend please log in to view this image Newcastle United have completed the signing of England international winger Andros Townsend from Tottenham Hotspur. The 24-year-old arrives at St. James' Park for an undisclosed fee and has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with the Magpies. He will wear the number 25 shirt. Townsend made 93 senior appearances in all competitions for Spurs after joining the club's Academy aged eight. He has also represented England at youth and senior level, earning ten full international caps and scoring on three occasions under current boss Roy Hodgson. "I'm delighted to be here," said Townsend. "Newcastle United is a fantastic club with great fans, a great stadium and great tradition. "As soon as I heard Newcastle were interested in me, there was only one place I wanted to go so I can't wait to get started." Newcastle United head coach Steve McClaren said: "Bringing Andros to the Club is a great signing. "He is a very good talent who is a current England international and should be one for years to come, too. "Andros is a winger with an old-fashioned style. He can play on the right or the left, is two-footed, quick, very direct and loves taking on defenders and crossing the ball. "He feels he has a lot to prove and I can't wait to see him do that in a Newcastle shirt."
I would rather bash my bollocks in with a pair of red house bricks than see that twat on a football field again.
Good luck to him. Hope he does well for you. You'll probably like his missus, too. Hazel O'Sullivan. She's one of those darts... birds. No idea what they're called. Sorry. please log in to view this image
They only care about the footballers up in Newcastle. I'll take care of this picture mate. It's in good, moisturised hands.
I still won't believe it until the Club announce it and I see a picture of him at St James Park holding the strip!!
We need a proven striker who can score goals. Not to sure on Townsend? was hoping the scum were signing him.
The London Evening Standard report that: "a conversation between Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and his Newcastle counterpart Mike Ashley provided a breakthrough. It is believed this is the first time the pair had spoken directly about the Townsend deal." Looks like that useless little ****ing tea boy wasn't quite capable of pulling this one off himself. That's what happens when you put a stumpy little over promoted shyster like Penfold in with somebody like Levy who wears big boys pants. Big Mike had to step in to make the deal happen. Penfold was probably still haggling over who paid for the taxi to pick AT up from the airport.
Looks a lot dirtier than Thauvin's girlfriend - much more suited to the Premier League - would be great to see her leading the team out next weekend like they do at the darts. Da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da - hey hey hey.
I see Gary Cahill wants out of Chelsea - unrealistic I know but at 30yr old, English, great in the air he would be a top signing. Somehow doubt he'd fancy a relegation battle though Loan to help his England situ?
Really would. Him and Colo, then phase out Colo to have Mbemba/Lascelles learning their trade. He's got at least 3 or 4 years in him, great shout but will end up moving to somewhere like Leicester or West Ham (and inevitably doing a great job).
