Personally I wouldn't buy anyone from manure after the Lindgard episode and not to mention the blocking of the takeover but I'm not in charge so I'll have to live with it.
Man united are buying Guimareas and sending mctomminay as part of the deal...Newcastle see longstaff and mctomminay as the two players to build a team around.
Fella we’ve got no idea what the summer will be like until we know where we finish. However I’d bet a season long avy that McTominay will not be at this club in September. Howe isn’t that stupid.
The theory of the multiverse says that there is at least one far-out ****ed universe were there this has happened. In that universe Lewis, Clark and Hendrick are still in the first team, Ashley has become immortal and will own us forever, and there's a statue of Joe Kinnear outside SJP.
Roly, remember it's Chaos you are betting against here, so you need to be far more specific and airtight in the wording to avoid 'losing' on a technicality. For instance, we haven't seen the 2023-24 fixture list yet, so McTominay could well be 'at this club', while playing for Man United. Juat one example of a potential Chaos squirm. Don't leave anything open to interpretation. I suggest you firm up on your propsed bet and tighten the wording to avoid having a random avy.
I read in the Gossip column that we were interested and he was keen on the move, but we get linked with everyone in the Gossip column. I imagine he wants to be here more than we want him. Skybet has us as favourites to sign Madison, Gallagher and Ward-Prowse, which makes much more sense.
But we don't mind because in that version of the multiverse, we are all Mackems and are champions of Yewrope. Oh and mustard chinos are fashionable.
McTomminay is....ok. Has been a mainstay in an underachieving Man U side, but hasn't featured as much this season since they bought Casemiro. Their midfield has been Casemiro, Fred and Fernandez, and they've been massively better this season with that midfield and with McTomminay on the periphery. So please can you explain why, when we are currently competing with Man U, and would be realistically thinking of going ahead of them next year, would we want to take a player than isn't good enough for their first team?
Newcastle won't have signed McTominay before the end of the Summer transfer window 2023. And if I lose, we all ****ing lose.
