I'm interested to see what Bruce changes ... i think this could be either make Bruces season or remind us why he has the worst record in premier league football.... maybe he finally gets lucky ..

 

He should just pick the names out of a hat. Can't be worse than recent games

 

I hope its 4 2 3 1 as i suggested all season... its really sink or swim , so lets hope whatever he does actually works for the 1st time in his managerial career... hes got to get lucky some time

 

He's been lucky all season. It's incredible we've scraped so many points together being so ****

 

Indeed , but common sense tells you he was living off the dying embers of rafas reign ... it took a little time to see bruces take full effect... im just saying hes bound to roll a 6 at some point and then the media will forget the 300 previous rolls and sackings

 

If we get an early goal we will win this. Burnley are physical but really not that good. We seemed to have lost a bit of defensive resilience lately and its a pity Clark will be missing but I reckon we will win this.

 

I find it interesting Bruce saying we need to change because the threat on the counter isnt there like earlier in the season... hmmm i wonder why.

 

He plays Almiron too deep having to cover the defence rather than concentrating on attack
Why do we play everyone behind the ball when defending corners?
We should have some one up to the half way line so if the ball gets hoofed out it's not being pumped back into the box
Plus with the pace of Almiron or Maximo
It would take 2 defenders away from the attack on our goal
Interesting that yet again we have a rookie ref and 4th official
Maybe need a more experienced ref especially with the physicality of the Burnley players
I noticed this at previous games with them that they bully Dubs at set pieces

In other news, it's Darren Ambrose's 9th birthday today.

 

Well, Brucies luck seems to have run out - crap performances getting lucky wins seem to have stopped and we're getting the results our performances deserve.
Why aren't kids like - Sorensen is it ? - getting a chance ? Joelinton has been a disastrous buy. To be fair to him, the midfield isn't supplying many chances - and the few they do he misses - time for changes.

 

I await a new system Bruce has had our side working on for 5 days that he is hoping will outdo a burnley side playing a system all season... i think its more likely to fail...

That... . Looks better, rather than ASM having to carry a **** team, he's out of the picture, and the likes of Hayden, Shelvey and Gayle should provide a more commanding presence.

This makes me think he's saving the likes of Matty, Sean and ASM for West Brom on Tuesday.

 

With the exception of dubravka, ritchie, almiron , manq and shelvey the rest are all championship players ... rose is finished has been for years


We have schar lejeune and max benched and they are prem quality players .
