We seem to be winning a lot more 2nd ball off our forwards. Its almost as though Perez has suddenly got a lot stronger but I think its just we have a proper attacking midfielder linking with forwards.

 

Phew. Lucky it isn't 2-1 going in.

 

Lucky not to have conceded a penalty and a goal when tarkowski missed. They’ll come out the traps at full belt in the 2nd half so we need to keep it tight.

 

Really starting to warm to Hayden, does a lot of hard graft that goes unmentioned. Hopefully he’s enjoying his football and decides to stay. Or maybe he’s putting himself in the shop window for the summer!

 

Either way it's good.

I can see him getting very frustrated like. He’s made a number of runs tonight most of which have been missed and I noticed a lot in the 2nd half on Saturday as well.

 

The other players need to get used to him and he needs to get used to them.

Just the presence of a player doing that can be enough to create space for others. It's working so far. He has looked a step up in the few games we've seen, though I think people give up on Kenedy too easily. This time last year Kenedy was tearing **** up, there's still a cracking player in there imo.

 

Good in patches, poor in patches fist half. Luckily we have struck during the good spells and been lucky in the poor ones. We need to be better in the 2nd half or I can see it being a disappointing day after the high of going 2-0 up.

He'll probably get one or two before the end of the season. It doesn't matter when really, so long as he's broken his duck and can start next season without it hanging over him I'm happy. People are comparing him to some of our previous players but the guy he's reminding me of most so far is a young Sean Wright-Phillips; he used to miss a hat-full but kept going!

 

That description could also sum up Joselu though!

Longstaff and almiron are getting all the credit and quite right..... BUT HAYDEN has been class tonight.

 

I think it’s because Almiron creates space and that fraction of a couple of yards makes it slightly easier. It’s a good balance. Give Perez a little time to compose himself and he looks a player

 

Almiron is always looking up and he can see a ducking pass. I’ve jizzed in my pants twice already.
