What goes around comes around was released in 1996 by Bob Marley, I believe it may also be known as the Karma Song. However, I cannot account for the use of the rose.
My first thought was that it was in support of Liverpool fans with Dunkenfield facing trial. Obviously, that isn't the case. Just get it off the shelves.
Maybe. He died on May 11th 1981. But i tried to stick with what i factually knew rather than try to account for something through assumption. The country it was produced in Italy, so maybe a romantic gesture? Edit: With more thought the shirt does make me suspicious. The song was remixed in 1996, it was i believe remixed in Italy possibly Turin (thinking Juventus). Yeah think i would agree as a neutral this has a bad taste to it.
as a neutral this seems very strange.. shocking it's been sold i'm not a liverpool fan but i would immediately reference it to the disaster.. it is 100% not an accident.
Deffo deliberate, this is now making the mainstream news media. Topman will feed off the oxygen of publicity.
It's not just the use of the rose, the video doesn't reflect their choice of colour of the shirt, they could have used Bob Marley's trademark colours of the Rastafarian flag/Ethiopia, also they put the number 96 on the back and not the front of the shirt. There have been many images on TV, online and in music videos of Liverpool supporters wearing red shirts bearing the number 96 on the back. This was a publicity stunt by Topman, and it's worked for the ****ers. please log in to view this image
IMO they should be boycotted now but more importantly this highlights an issue. LFC or the hillsborough groups should copyright the 96 for all clothing and imagery to prvent this. IMO there is no possible way a company who routinely researches copyright infringements decided they didn't need to do it cos this was a bob marely shirt. they had to do the same process they would normally do and can google 96 in 2 seconds and know ok.. we need to be careful here.
The Trinity News Group/Daily Mirror own the Liverpool Echo and the Manchester Evening News, the Echo of course shows a form of supportive editorial and with it being relevant to the city have a comment section open under the story The Daily Mirror themselves cover the story in a neutral way(understandable), but the bastards at the Mirror have sanctioned a comments section under the same story in the Manchester Evening News, you can guess what the comments are like. https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...pman-shirt-liverpool-hillsborough-96-14418317 Win win for Topman and win win for the haters and trolls. #doublewhammy
I do agree, it certainly on face value seems a cheap stunt by Topman and that surprises me. Instantly i saw the shirt i related it to Liverpool not Bob Marley. I have quite an interest in music from a copyright perspective and how it links to certain events, hence how i became interested in this story. I've always supported the criminal injustice that was committed against your club. I found it also strangely coincidental that the Marley remix was done in Italy. I absolutely agree why was the colours of the Rastafarian flag not used. I didn't want to overact at first and do a bit of research, the more i look into it the more I believe Liverpool supporters have good reason to be upset. I believe Topman have got a lot of explaining to do.
