The announcer is describing our season when he keeps saying when we get the ball we give it right back in a bad area.

In the NFL it's called "freezing" the kicker. Looked like VAR was doing just that.

ho hum, back to bed then :undecided:

I wish they would stop trying to play out from the back all time, they ain't good enough to get away with it in the PL

We should get an award for the number of good performances without getting any points. What a fluke of a goal. Damn. At least West Ham were thrashed by Leicester.

Disappointing result and not a great game to watch. A few reminders here and there of the flowing, quick football that we have come to expect and on another day Pukki would have put one of his two good chances away without a second thought. I thought Rupp played well but was less impressed with Duda. I''d be interested to see his stats as from my lofty TV position, he looked a little lacklustre today following an excellent debut previously. He lost the ball a few times and I didn't see a massive effort to get it back... Tettey seemed solid but then gave the ball away unnecessarily so many times. No complaints about our CBs though. Solid effort really but we've got to get better at playing it out from the back. I don't know if it's a lack of movement from the mids in front of defenders that's causing the headache or decision making issues amongst the defence. I'm a big believer in playing it out rather than hitting it long for a 50:50 but it's clearly still a work in progress.

    MotM for me: Aarons

Agree about the disappointing result and the MotM as Aarons was our highest rated player on WhoScored at 7.5. Pukki was next at 7.0 and then Duda at 6.9. Ruup, however, was our lowest rated player at 5.8. Duda improved as the game went on, including the perfectly weighted through ball to Aarons leading to the penalty. I was also impressed by him running the length of the pitch to take the ball off a Spurs player about to score on a late breakaway. In fairness, Ruup was playing out of position, but for most of the game Aarons looked like the WR and Ruup the RB. Early days though and we need to see more him in his normal position.

I thought we hung on in the first half but improved in the second and after our goal we were the better team, only to be undone by that fluke goal. We missed Buendia badly, but showed the sort of character and fight that we need now. I was encouraged, in spite of the result.

I went to the game, and talking to spurs fans after the game, most agreed city should have got a point at least. We played well, but same old, same old,we just cant get that second goal. Fantastic support from the Norwich fans again, and a truly superb stadium
