please log in to view this image Thursday 2nd December 7.30pm Premier League Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Sunday saw the side take a trip to the frozen wasteland of Bur'nleh before swiftly abandoning it. It was slightly more entertaining than some of our other away games this season, though. That'll be added to our fixture congestion at a later date, so now we're back to another London derby. We all know how well they've gone for us so far this season, don't we? Can Conte kick a few people up the arse and get a performance or will it be another Thursday **** up? This is Brentford's first ever season in the top-flight and they've been loving it, so far. Their moneyball approach to signings has worked well, got them promoted and earned them results. It's largely paid for their new stadium already, which had something of a disappointing opening year. The results were great, but there was nobody there to see it happening. I'm sure the fans will feel it's been worth the wait, though. The other notable aspect of Brentford's last campaign was their League Cup run. They reached the semi-final, knocking out four Premier League sides on the way. It also resulted in them experiencing an extremely rare Moussa Sissoko headed goal. That was followed by a less rare Heung-Min Son goal, a disallowed Ivan Toney goal and a red card. Josh Dasilva was deservedly dismissed late on for studding Hojbjerg in the shin: Romero and Scarlett are still injured for this one, while Lo Celso faces an assessment. Raya, Ajer, Jeanvier and Dasilva are out for the visitors, but Jorgensen may return. Neither side has any suspensions. Lineups for each side's last league game: Spurs: Lloris; Tanganga, Dier, Davies; Royal, Winks, Hojbjerg, Reguilon; Moura, Kane, Son. Subs: Gollini, Doherty, Sanchez, Rodon, Sessegnon, Ndombele, Alli, Bergwijn, Gil. League form: WWLLDW. Brentford: Fernandez; Goode, Pinnock, Jansson; Canos, Janelt, Onyeka, Norgaard, Henry; Mbeumo, Toney. Subs: Cox, Rasmussen, Sorensen, Thompson, Baptiste, Jensen, Ghoddos, Wissa, Forss. League form: LLLLDW. Ref: Jonathan Moss. VAR: Peter Bankes. TV: Amazon Prime. How would you like to line up for this one? Would you stick with much of the same lineup from the Mura, tinker a little or change it completely? Which system and tactics would you use and what are you expecting Brentford to go with?
One thing that springs to mind in how Alasdair Gold has said that Conte is considering using the 3412 formation he used at Inter Good news for Lo Celso, Lucas and possibly Dele Bad news for Bergwijn
I think their coverage is very good. McCoist is excellent and works well with Tyldesley and Simon Thomas is a first class presenter imo.
That's a trifle optimistic isn't it? Thursday nights are likely to be free very soon and it's difficult to see any domestic cup engagements after Xmas
As Sanchez has survived his and the team's Mura debacle, Rodon's done at Spurs. Just noticed that he's not on the bench either. Is he injured, ill or dead?
Rodon's like-for-like with Dier in the middle, so it makes more sense to have Tanganga as he can replace Dier or Sanchez in the system The real concern for me is that Doherty isn't done for...
My grandfather would have loved that, it was his one wish, to be able to turn off the commentary but still have the crowd noise, like you were there. I can understand him, there is nothing worse than going to a match and the bloke next to you spends the whole match yakking.
