    Good game... we played well.
Burnley came to have a go, in the belief that we would fold, we didn't
and that's what you get if you catch us on the wrong day.

    Well played the lads. <applause>

Expect MOTD to make approximately 43 references to St David's Day

4-0 win could have been 6, 7 or 8, Burnley were poor but we still had create those chances and everyone played their part.

Obviously Bale was MOTM, but that must have been Sanchez best match for over a year, very commanding in the air and some generally good defending alongside Toby.

I don't want us to set up like that for every game but we've been ridiculously cautious against teams that we should back ourselves to outscore. Performances against Wolves, Palace, Fulham and the like, were cowardly and we got what we deserved.

Let's hope that we can set up appropriately for each opponent and that we see a midfield of Hojbjerg - Ndombele - Lo Celso as a regular thing very soon.

Jesus, the state of things when I'm agreeing with Redknapp and Hasslebaink. Keane's such a **** troll, he might get the clicks but it's punditry like his that's the reason I haven't bothered watching the build up, half-time or full-time punditry in years. If it's not him, it's Souness, or Carragher talking nonsense. Jamie Redknapp can be as boring as he likes, he's still better than being disengenuous and childish like Keane.

Roy Keane, failed manager, not difficult to see why.

I think Sánchez, Bale, N'dombele and Reguilón to a certain extent are footballers that don't
play their best game in the frost, persistent frontal rain or freezing slippery conditions.
I'm pretty sure we're going to see what these players can actually do from now till
season end., provided they stay fit.

All in all it really was an enjoyable game for us. As TCM said, could’ve easily been more and we played a front four that’s more or less what fans have been wanting to see for ages, certainly the front three we’ve all wanted to see anyway. Can’t help but wonder had Bale been incorporated more earlier in the season we would’ve been seeing this more often, it was obvious - to me anyway - he needed a run of games and now he’s finally getting it he’s looking sharper, more ruthless and even more fitter. Just gotta hope he doesn’t get any injuries now that disrupt his current flow and should it continue/ improve, we ensure that we secure a second year loan in the summer, he may not have that blistering speed any more but he’s still a world class player with ability that 95% of professional footballers could only dream of.

Hopefully Jose’s learnt that his stupidly cautious style against particular teams was wrong and he’s now happy to take his foot off the brakes in more games as I really did enjoy that today, favourite 90 mins for a long, long while. Our attackers are top drawer and our midfielders ain’t too bad either, utilise them. Nice one, gaffer <ok>

As far as a PL top 4 place goes, IMHO tis Audere est facere as
today all the way, bar the games against the usual suspects.

Have the mindset that the above is gone, and now you are merely
playing the remaining PL games for the fun of it (you will be surprised
    what may happen) .

No, I can't agree to that.

I expect us to attempt to qualify for the EL via the PL and go for CL by winning the EL. It might just be dawning on Mourinho that he has a very decent squad of players and that, if he picks them judiciously, giving players the rest that they need, we can compete at a decent level.

If he doesn't, he'll be gone in the summer...and he'll have earned it.

That front 3 plus Moura (who was excellent today) will scare the living **** out of almost any opposition.
If we can get Ndombele fully fit an Lo Celso in the mix too, this season could end a lot better than we were expecting a week ago.

I said a few weeks ago when Spurs lost (can't remember who against) but actually played good football, that they just needed to keep playing like that and the wins will eventually come. Since then Spurs have been playing more positively and today was a joy to watch. I know it was only Burnley, but even so, they did play much quicker with more accurate passing.

I won't single anyone out as I think they all did well but it's good to see Bale back to his usual self and getting MOTM. Well deserved.

We do need to see the team play more positively and attack against most teams. I'm still wary about our CBs and suspect they would still struggle against some other teams but today they did well.

The Jose mindset is fine now we are in the business end of UEFA land.
It has been utter poison in the PL since December,

I will tolerate the former if it means I get the rest of the PL season like today
    (win, lose or draw) .
