Get the job done early and get Hojbjerg, Ndombele and Son off as quick as possible, hopefully. Things won't work out like that, of course.
It’s a risky XI to be fielding a few key players what with the weekend and congested fixture list in mind. Hope it pays off.
Ndombele and Lo Celso in the same starting xi? I'm guessing that Lo Celso sits while Ndombele is in the more advanced role, and while that does make sense on paper as Lo Celso is more combative, it also nerfs Lo Celso going forward
I'd have thought that it's either the other way around or they'll take turns in getting into more advanced roles. Ndombele playing like Dembele did is a distinct possibility, if he can get his fitness levels to where they need to be.
That starting XI is sorely tempting the god of < standard > injuries. If that happens, the blame is solely on the team who effed up the Antwerp game.
Hojbjerg, Lo Celso and Ndombele is, on paper, our ideal midfield. Get the match done early and sub them
It’s only the 5th time Lo Celso and Ndombele have started a game together since joining. Actually embarrassing really how bad their injuries/ fitness has been. Pray this is the turning point though and we see this more often because on paper, those two and Hojbjerg is the dream midfield three for us - and Jose - from an attacking standpoint.
Ben Davies is captain? Perhaps not surprising, given the lineup, but I somehow wasn't expecting that.
Really poor start. Lucky not to be 1-0 down. Can’t get the ball out of our half. We can’t deal with their press at all.
Eggestein hits the post. We've not settled at all and their high pressing is causing us a lot of problems.
Unless they tidy this up we could lose this. Very sloppy and almost arrogant performance at the moment.
