I was saying before the game I fancied you guys to win because you have the right tactician in charge and the right quality of players who can hurt City.
Guardiola teams struggle against teams that defend deep, have robustness in the middle and can counter with ruthless efficiency and speed.
After signing his contract extension, this was the first litmus test to see if he’s learned how to deal with these tactics (which I reckon most people expected from Mourinho).
It’s another test Pep has failed and I reckon most clubs in Europe who can play this way will be licking their lips, as I fancy them to get knocked out of Europe fairly early again this season.
Shame Kane was offside, as that's such a great move.

Last 3 Premier League matches between Man City and Spurs:
Shots: Man City 71-10 Spurs
Goals: Man City 2-6 Spurs
If that's true (which I reckon it probably is) then...
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It feels good [to be top], but maybe tomorrow we are second again and honestly that would not be a problem for me, I am just happy with the evolution.
"People cannot expect us to come here and after one season we are fighting for the title. We are not fighting for the title, we are just fighting to win every match. But we are going to lose matches, we are going to draw matches.
“But dinner tonight will be nice and relaxed and I will watch Atletico Madrid v Barcelona and sleep like an angel.
"But no problem if Leicester wins [tomorrow] and we are second again.”
Mourinho simultaneously playing down the hype and having a sly dig at Utd by saying he'll be watching La Liga instead of them!
A great 3 points and it appears we have learnt how to defend, shame about Toby`s injury though. The perfect confidence booster before a trip to Stamford Bog. COYS
Never though I would say this but Mike dean had a good game tonight,
Jose reckons Toby's injury could be a long one. Typical, just as our defence starts acting like a defence and now we have this spanner thrown in.
Rodon likely to get thrown into the fire for his first start, away to Chelsea. No pressure, lad.
This one is for Stoken
they were well cocky before the game
looking forward to what you find
Who are you and what have you done with @KingHotspur ?
What happened to Toby, missed most of the second half.
Thigh muscle injury
Seeing Spurs do the cynical thing and run the ball into the corner and frustrate City warranted praise.
My ideal brand of football is probably the opposite of what Jose Mourinho brings which is why I’ve been so vocal with what I consider poor performances even when winning BUT if playing solid counter attacking football brings some overdue silverware to Spurs then I suppose I can tolerate it
Hopefully not serious he was outstanding today.
Looked serious and Jose said it was.
Time for Rodon to step forward.
MOTD is on guise
You gonna watch 19 men stood in a third of the pitch for 80% of the time again?
