Ahhh.. .two of us on 4th Jan!

Hope you had a good day mate.

I was born in 1967...became a spurs fan cos I had cousins who lived in wood green...near turnpike lane tube station. They weren't into football but most of their neighbours were spurs so when I was 7 ish I became a spurs fan.
Later I found they won the fa cup the year I was born and that the first game in my life time was a NLD away which we won...when I was 3 days old... somethings are just meant to be <cheers>

Thanks for all the best wishes from everyone else too...

Actually glad he’s gone with a strong line up. A win today is vital to getting some confidence back.

Hopefully kill the game off early and then bring on Skipp, Parrott or Tanganga for some minutes.

Why is Sanchez out of the starting lineup, again?

No Sanchez again... For **** sake.

Foyth's a goner as well, Jose clearly don't rate him.

Another bizarre selection. I agree it looks like 3 at the back but then what's left of CM if Dier plays as a CB? We'll be overrun by a team a division beneath us! Amazed Skipp isn't starting and even more amazed Dave - who has been our best defender this season (not saying much, I know) is on the bench for the 3rd game running!

I have to disagree with you here King. It's a strong list of names on a piece on paper. In reality, it'll be another unbalanced mess. Lose this and the atmosphere against Pool could start to turn quite toxic.

Also, why are we running these players into the ground? Even if the ones selected were playing well, surely we need to mix things up a bit to give them a break, we just lost Kane for a month because he's been overworked.

    Eriksen in CM again?

Oh boy, the pass map's going to make for grim reading...

Not sure where Sissoko is but accepting that the 18 names in front of me are the ones I can work with, I'd have gone for:

    Gazza
    Aurier Toby Dave Jan
    Winks Dier Lo Celso
    Lucas Son Dele

Can’t wait for the Winks/Eriksen pivot in midfield

Central midfielders who were available for selection today
    Moussa Sissoko
    Giovani Lo Celso
    Oliver Skipp
    Paris Maghoma
    Tashan Oakley-Boothe
    Jamie Bowden
    Armando Shashoua

...but sure, because Eriksen worked once when replacing Dier in midfield against Olympiakos, that means he should start there

(And before anyone asks, Harvey White played for the U18s yesterday)

If you want Eriksen & Vertonghen to stay then you won't help the cause by not picking them. Making Vertonghen Cap also may be a statement. There is more to picking a team than the obvious.
