You have to laugh at the humour of UK football supporters. :)

The weather's a bit crap here, it's currently raining, which has dampened spirits somewhat. We've been out in Valencia since Thursday and the weather's been great. Everyone who didn't buy their tickets from the club is buying baby wipes to change the names on their tickets and planning to rock up just before kick off en masse so they let us in.

    Fingers crossed.

Is there time for La Marca to unsettle our kids so
that Madrid can have them signed by the start of
    the 2nd half ??

Half time and still one nil up. Been impressed by the kids, many times first to the ball and seem really up for it. Some nice skills being shown but also a little carelessness at times. Real Madrid still very dangerous on the break thankfully Austin in goal has been good apart from one little fumble. See what Guti says to his boys with the biscuits and oranges. Looking forward to the second half. COYS

    Equaliser for Madrid
Real Madrid much better this half and if it wasn't for some woeful finishing would be in the lead. Our boys need to sort themselves out. They can still win this.

Brave line-up there, especially if Dier is reverting to CB.
Big moment for Harry Winks, so the old hands must graft
    to protect him in CM.

Finished all square for the lads in the UEFA Youth League. Had to soak up massive pressure as Real cranked it up. Had a really good chance in the dying seconds of extra time but emblematic of most of the work in the opposition box instead of taking the shot Stirling tried to square it but his attempt was weak and off target. On the whole the boys did well and if we can match this result in the senior game I will be a happy yid! COYS

I wanna see Llorente using his experience to wind up that Madrid defence. Ramos can be a head case at times, so let hope Llorente draws plenty of fouls and causes a nuisance.

Looks like the latest installment in Poch's hit reality tv show 'Guess my formation'.

This will go one of two ways: play ultra-attacking and use Kane and Llorente to batter their back line. Lose 5-3.

Or, go ultra defensive and use Llorente to hold the ball up and bring Aurier/Sissoko into play. Draw 1-1.

I'm surprised to see Son only on the bench, which makes me think it may well be the latter. But even more surprised that Real apparently allow serpents into the dug outs.

I see we haven’t spoken about the bench yet. 4 defenders... and inexperienced youngster and Son. <yikes>

I think it will probably be:

    Lloris
    Toby, Sanchez, Jan
    Aurier, Dier, Winks, Sissoko
    Eriksen, Kane
    Llorente

    But I'd prefer:

    Lloris
    Aurier, Sanchez, Toby, Jan
    Dier, Winks
    Sissoko, Kane, Eriksen
    Llorente

Not sure about switching it up for such a big game but I do like the idea of playing Kane deeper in games where sides have a plan for him. Whilst I do think we're more solid with a back 3 than 4, I think Aurier's going to need help while he learns his role in the side better and having Dier able to drop back and the hardworking Sissoko down that flank should help us, particularly since Marcelo's such a handful.

We need to be prepared to shut up shop after a Sissoko hattrick.
