I hear Cisse is going to have a medical today (which we know) but why did he leave Sunderland?

 

Only on loan there, so the question should be why didn't S'land make it a permanent one? The only worry re the signing imo.

 

Not got an answer to this yet but, if Taiwo doesn't get his international clearance through before deadline, does that mean we can't sign him???

I hope so. He has 48 caps and plays for AC Milan. If that is not a guarantee of the quality required, we might as well give up on all non EU transfers. The Malinese guy may be trickier - he only had his international debut this month. But I suspect he also has a French passport which would make him European, in a strange and wonderful way.

Makes for some interesting reading there Norway, as it stands we're favourites to sign Samba (2/5), Rodallega (evens), Pienaar (6/4), and Niko Kranjcar (5/4), and we're in the running for a fair few more... wonder which of these will come to fruition?

 

Does anyone else think Bothroyd and DJ are being sold as I just don't believe that they are both injured?

Can someone please provide a pronounciation guide as part of any future rumours. There should probably be a bar on any more players with 3 or more vowels in their surnames until I have got my toungue round these. I won't even think about appropriate songs for these guys!

 

Diakité is pronounced Jackitay or at least it is in Senegal so presumably the same in Mali...
