He'll stagnate and rot here like Redmond, until a bigger club pick him off us for a couple of Mil, and then he will start reaching his potential.

I'd heard she was overly dictorial and that's why she was unpopular with the players. But she was sexist too????

Just as well they sacked Tits McGee then!

    Bah!

It's official! Silly season has started <grr>
If we chose not to pursue Afobe for circa £10m while still comfortably placed for survival - or better, in the top flight last winter, why would we now be interested in spending £12m on McCormack when we're in a lower division?? Two plus two equals as many goals as our 'top scorer' has managed this season! <yikes> <doh>

If we don't spend that on a striker with proven scoring pedigree we will likely fall behind a number of others who will. Realisticaly we can afford him and offer him a significantly better chance at promotion than Fulham. I don't think this should represent any shock value, this is the going rate so we must pay this or similar to get in the sort of forward we need to, whether you think McCormack is that striker we need is another question. His record though is very good at chump level so why not?
As alternatives go, I wonder how well Asombalonga has recovered from his injury? He was banging them in left right and centre for Forest before.

    Bah!

Fair enough, but my point remains. Why the hell weren't we concerning ourselves with a striker of that ilk and value when it might have kept us up? <doh>
Talk about shutting the bloody stable door... :(

I'm not convinced he is a proven goal scorer, he seems pretty hit and miss to me!

As Gandy said 2nd in the scoring charts and that was in a struggling side. Not bad. Gray was well out in front but has got promoted with Burnley. If we want a goal scorer at champ level we could do a lot worse. That said £12m for a 29 yr old jock leaves the alarm bells ringing a bit. I guess that's the price you pay for at least at champ level the finished article.

    Bah!

We paid £8.5m for a 29 year old jock so what's another £3.5m eh ?

McCormack could be a good shout, given his goal-scoring record (22 goals in 39 appearances this year). He is quite a versatile striker with assists as well as goals, but £12m would take a big chunk out of our transfer budget.

We'll probably sell Redmond and break even. I hope to actually see a net spend this summer, but won't hold by breath!

Whoever we buy, we need to get the ball forward quicker, our build up play is so pedestrian, and give the opposition time to get back in numbers, we then lose possession and get hit on the break.
