    Is Elan Ricardo joining Watford or not? Both of these original twitter (X) messages were posted on the same day (19 May 2024). The president of Equidad football club claimed that the deal is sealed, but Ricardo's agent told a journalist that the deal has fallen through because Watford offered too low a salary. Equidad's president would not have been involved in negotiating the terms of Ricardo's contract with Watford, but it seems strange that he would be claiming the deal is closed if those negotiations had fallen through.
