We need to replace Ox now with either Lemar or Draxler. Both would be an upgrade. What's the odds that we do absolutely nothing ......

I thought I had seen everything at Arsenal in terms of the club being a clown show when it come stop the transfer window, but we have reached a new low with this window. What the actual **** has gone on with Mustafi? Why wait this long to sell the Ox? When we needed to have the best window in ages in order to compete, we are about to go into net profit. <laugh>

So Wenger sells Gabriel and Mustafi and does not trust Per or Chambers, which leaves us with Kos and Holding, ****ing hell. Just staggering stuff.

I'm really trying to stay positive but this could be one of the biggest crisis that Wenger has faced in some time. As Sanj says, instead of being one of our best transfer window, it could end up as one of our worse. What exactly are we going to do with the money if our team is weakened with all the outgoings? Also what will happen to confidence in the remaining players after they see the mess completely unfold?

This could be one of our worse seasons down to management incompetence.

Now talk of Mancity offering Raheem Sterling plus cash for Alexis, Wenger's words already mean **** all, but even for him it would be utterly embarrassing to sell Alexis after everything he has said this summer.

Sterling + £50 million for Sanchez I'd take in a heart beat! Better than having a player that doesnt want to play for us and get F all for him next summer.

Letting Sanchez leave for City would be fatal for Wenger.

Yeah but what about all the promises? This would have a majorly negative impact should he leave. Now they've pushed themselves in a corner. Sad state of affairs and it will only have a negative impact on our season.

BUT come 12 months Sanchez WILL PLAY for City anyway..so why not cash in now and get a decent player in return? No point fighting a losing battle and shooting ourselves in the foot financially.

This deal itself is not too bad, but again the manager will be made too look like a muppet, no wonder the players dont play for him on the pitch, they have no respect for the man or his words.

Promises? year and year out the same promises but we know what happens.. I've given up worrying, until Wenger goes (asked politely to F Off) nothing will change re the transfers, contracts or promises...then again is it the BOARD on Wenger? Just wish we knew for sure!

This is it. It would reflect really badly if Wenger backtracked so late in the season. Not only with the players but with the fans too.

Yeah but he was categorical with this. But to let him leave on the eve of the window closing would be the managements worst decision. The repercussions will be wide ranging.

Don't disagree, but whose decision is it REALLY? Is Wenger being pushed into a corner especially when there's £50 million ++ at stake, we all know the Board is made up of none footballing ****ers, who only want to protect their profits... crap foresight though!

From a supporters perspective, I have little hope this year and at least I'm not going into the season HOPING yet again for the that miracle... BUT I would like to think we have a 5 year plan for rebuilding this mess of a club... I thought last year was the bottom of the bottom but this year is perhaps the year we really do bottom out!

Sad but true. With enough push our Board capitulates way too easily. This is the problem of not having proper footballing people in charge.

Complete ****ing shambles. I've been one of Wenger's biggest backers, but this is just clueless. The mess we are in is a direct result of his ineptitude with transfers. He's got 4 days to sort out this mess and the odds are he'll do **** all about it.

From Sterling's point of view, wonder how he feels? Taking a step down and being forced to potentially leave, his confidence won't be great, also with the way Wenger has been delveloping young attacking players in recent years, I doubt he will take that next step, he is also going from Pep to Wenger, apart from more playing time, not sure what the positive is for Sterling to agree to this deal.

For once i can't put all the blame on Wenger. Why haven't the changes proposed by Gazidis etc. been put into place? What have the rest of the management been up to? Did they think that getting Lacazette was the end of their job and it was back to Wenger doing everything?

This is the real problem and things will only get worse if things aren't changed behind the scenes.

Wenger lies to the media all time, but with this Sanchez stuff, he was so bloody arrogant with it and so adamant that Sanchez was going nowhere, how the hell could he live that down if he sells him with two days left in the transfer window? Has one result really changed everything he said all summer? Insane.

You make a very good point. Sterling is a primadonna and it won't surprise me if he throws his toys out the pram.
