He's said that he's prepared to take a pay cut on an extended contract. I can't see any downside to giving him a new contract.

he is approaching 31 and is probably 3rd choice now so not sure he justifies an extension .

    Maybe.

He doesn't seem like his attitude is all that good given how he's delivered for leciester or not while working on his big move.

Ah fair enough then. He's currently on £200k a week so it would need to be a significant cut.

given the bobbster played 7 games in cl and scored 5 goals despite massive injuriy issues and played a very bit payrt season but scored 5 goals and made 4 assists in 20 games (not starts games inc late subs)

I would say that when fit the toothy so and so has still something to offer us.

the quesion is fitness as he was 3soft tissue injuries last season and one knock (foot)

If he doesn't get those hamstring and groin issues as much then he will do well ESP with 5 subs next season in all comps.

Massive value to playing him a decent wage for no transfer fee with that level of goal and assist return

The issues with Bobby is that his body is starting to slow down now as he picked up a number of injuries last season but more worrying is that his overall play is really regressing. He will continue to score the odd clutch goal now and again but his basic passing, touches, final ball is really poor.

I love Bobby but it's definitely time for him to move on.
